You have to agree though, cartoons like The Simpsons and Fairly Odd Parents DO make fun of Britain, just like that shiny.
"Spot of tea, Governor"
"Golly gosh, we're in a stickey wicket"
"Jolly bad luck there, old chap"
Do we even speak like that?

Not really. I hate it when FOP puts grotty teeth into the charaters in one of the episodes.

Anyway, lets back on topic before totalnerduk accuses me of spamming.

I hope this hasn't been mentioned already, but there's a slight goof in A Leela Of Her Own. I didn't pick up on it, but my boyfriend did:

When Leela pitches for the NNY Mets, her pitching hand is white, as though someone forgot to color it in, or as though she's wearing a tight white glove. My boyfriend's a big baseball fan and he said, "That's wrong. Pitchers don't wear gloves!" But in the next shot of Leela, it's gone.

Maybe she found she could pitch better without it, so she threw it away?
Good find though.

I could do it:

you can't see the white glove well, but trust me, it's there^

And now it's gone, you were right milksong's boyfriend, although I could have got better grabs, sorry about that:P

Those laws you stated in the JokeBox thread mostly applied only to Warner Bros Cartoons and never actually happens in Futurama except for in "Less than Hero" in which Cartoon Law IV makes a brief appearance.

Disney too.
Anyway, when the gang visits Osiris 4, they're informed that the people of Osiris 4 "visited your Egypt thousands of years ago" and "learned many things from the mighty Egyptians, such as pyramid-building, space travel and how to prepare our dead so as to scare Abbott and Costello."

How did the Osirians get to Egypt originally if that's where they learned space travel? Wouldn't they have needed space travel to get there in the first place?

Excellent question - and one that hadn’t occurred to me until you pointed it out.
Xanfor is right,of course; it really isn't all that important...
Still, it could prove to have an interesting answer.
