Well did anyone notice in episode 1, while Bender & Fry are hiding as heads in the museum the jar of the right was Matt Groening? You can even see his name while they show the camera lokking for them.

yeah, i love how Groening puts little quirks here and there in the episodes. Like in "A Cyclops built for two" how you see a bunch of producers and various people in the "dirty dirty chatroom"

You also see such people at the ebay auction for the Milky Way Galaxy in I Dated A Robot.

I am also sure that this has all been talked about before. But its fun to talk about anyway.

That was actually done by the animation studio. They requested Nerd #1, Nerd #2, etc. and got themselves put in the cartoon, except for Groening, who had himself removed.

Anyone notice in ACBFT, that the way Alkasar had Leela dress was the same style that Katey Seagle had when she co-stared in "Marriage...with Childran". Plus Alkasar or "AL" was her husbands name in the show!

I mean that pretty much everyone who has ever seen the episode knew that, because it was an Obvious Parody. Much like "Fry And The Slurm Factory". No offense, but just keep in mind that you are on an online message board filled with nerds  ;).

Matt Groening wanted to make it so people tried to adjust their tv when they saw that the simpsons had yellow skin.  :puke:

We have a Simpsons thread too.

I'm not posting these links for my health, people.  I'm posting them so that you'll take this discussion to the apropriate threads.

If you're not talking about Futurama, then you've come to the wrong place.

O I see. But did anyone ever notive in the Sting, when Fry is stabed by the stinger he doesn't bleed? The only time we ever see blood on the show actually is in Insane in the Mainframe when he is the "battle-droid" making that annoying e-o sound. Then Roberto throws his knife at Fry cutting his arm. Only blood I have ever seen on that show.

Fry's arm stump bleed post Zoidy-amputation. Frankly, I'm glad there's little blood on the show. Not because I'm particularly squeamish (how DARE you doubt my manliness!), but because it's just not in line with the spirit of the show. Case in point: The Simpsons. Post 9, blood was suddenly spraying everywhere, where before it had nary been seen. It was quite jarring, and eventualy, over the top and annoying.

Anyway, Fry staring mystifyed at his terminated appendage is much funnier than Fry running around screaming and spraying viscal fluids everywhere.
