I apologize if this has already been posted, but did anyone post a translation of the alien language text that appears when you start the first episode on the first DVD of Volume 3?

Good question ascribe, I was wondering the same thing. I know one of these people must have the alien alphabet worked out..

now all you have to do is convince some sucker to sit down, with the TV paused at that screen, write it all down and translate it.

Edit: Hurrah, no longer a lowly crustation, instead a lowly delivery boy

someone will do it, it's just a matter of time. On one of the first season commentaries someone said that the fans had worked out the language.  :p

I don't recall if it is written in AL1 or AL2, but check out CGEF (click the buddy icon below)- they have translators for both the ALs.

Wow. This forum rocks hard. I sure will stick around...

And maybe I will use the info you gave me to translate the message myself...

THANKS!

ascribe: Do you know the name of the ep? I don't have the DVD.

Is it the subtitle? In that case, the only one in AA1 reads:

Thanks for watching, Futurama Slave Army!

EDIT: Oops... Read it wrong... You meant the DVD menu itself...     :hmpf:

@Coilette: You never have to double post (unless you're bumoing a thread that's been left behind). That's what the -button is for.

Pikka, you want the truth? I pressed enter, then the back button because I forgot to enter something. Hence the double post. I blame the keyboard, I didn't do it....

Coilette: Once you hit [submit], the post is registered. If you press 'back', you'll be taken to the "make new post"-form. Hitting [submit] again will create another new post. You have to edit (and be careful not to hit

In the long run, it'll be the wise thing to do.
[EDIT](looky here now) But good work nonetheless.
And whaoh hey!! Ascribe and Jarhead: Welcome to PEEL- you'll probably end up liking it here. (you'll have to)[/EDIT]

Nope, only moderators and administrators can delete posts. If you try to check the "delete this post " box, the system tell you you don't have the proper authority.

The first time I watched the first episode (Amazon Women), there was a flash of white Alien Language on a plain black background. It was a short message, but I don't know enough AL1 (At least, I think that's what it was) to decode it. I didn't see it on any other episode, and I don't think it was part of the episode, as it was before everything else.  Anyone know what it said, or am I going nuts?

This is the trandlation for the short message that shows at the beginning of Season 3.

This Programme Has Been Modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit your pathetic, 21st Century, human-made, non-interactive television that only broadcasts to two senses and desn't even look back at you (Except in Utah).

Any others people need translating?

Dammit, I translated that not long ago by writing on my television. God, if only I'd just looked for a thread.
