*THANK YOU, HAWKINGHOLE4001, FOR FINDING THIS OUT...*
I want to see an episode where the WHOLE CAST has no noses... that'd be hilarious.
Also, Amy must have gotten the Cuteness Reducion Surgery on her nose BETWEEN 1ACV09 AND 1ACV10.

relax, RELAX!!!

I live in Russia if you didn't know that already! i just get american satellite television! so, for me dilbert is either dead, or will be seen in russia by 2010, both bad.

Man i loved that show! almost as much as futurama, why does Fox have to replace all the good ones with crapy ones? i mean the simpsons are nothing but an old cash cow, and KOTH, well i really have no idea why they keep a show about a bunch of bevis and butthead rip off characters. IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!

LONG LIVE DILBERT AND FUTURAMA!
DEATH TO THE INFI....CRAPY FOX SHOWS!!!

You can always read the Dilbert comic. It lives on, and it will continue to live on.

Oh, screw getting R1 DVDs! Crack your DVD drive and get R2 - or just find a region-free DVD drive.

Good stores do offer RC free DVD Players, if you aks them politely.
RC free DVD-ROM drives, now that might be difficult.

Or just buy a region-free DVD player. I got one for less than 80 dollar (region free, built-in PAL-NTSC converter) in a hardware store (the one with tools, nails, plywood and paint).

Gocad: One of my computers came with a region-free DVD-ROM drive. Strange, I agree. But they're out there.

Then it must be a rather old Drive, because the regionfree RPC-1 Drives are no longer produced.
Newer Drives have their own Region counter. These Drives are known as RPC-2 Drives. Early RPC-2 Drives could be flashed, as SQFreak indicated *cough*, however the Drives that are produced nowadays can't be flashed anymore in order to make them RC free.
@The Bender:
You can find out what kind of DVD Drive you have by using a program called
<cough>DVD Genie<cough>. It's a useable tool to override the RC counter in your DVD player software. It also has DVD Drive detection feature.
two RC counters:
1. Software counter - DVD Player Software
2. Hardware counter - DVD Drive RPC-2 only

My 8-month-old laptop is flashable. I haven't done it, but I've found the proper firmware. Ones that you can't make region-free have to be ones that aren't flashable at all. I wouldn't want one of those anyway. That means if a feature is broken in the initial implementation or there's a bug in the code, you're screwed.

Just to see what would happen, I put my R2S1D1 DVD into my Pioneer DV-333 R1 perma-locked TV DVD player. It said in a font that it doesn't ever use, in a position where it usually doesn't put messages (upper right - it uses the upper left for the "Play", "Stop", "Resume", "Pause", etc.), "Wrong region no." and promptly ejected the tray. So it's not like it will ruin your standalone - worth a try if you don't know if your standalone is locked or not.
