I am pretty on the ball and can figure out most of the jokes in Futurama with out much help.  But the Kegelcizer machine in "Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love" always had me scratching my head.  Finally I looked it up...ewwwwww.  Anyway...anyone else have a similiar moment?  A refernce they had to look up?   (If this has already been addressed in some other thread, then disregard, I looked but couldn't see anything that matched up)

Actually, I still don't know what a Kegelcizer is. I'll go look it up in the library after this lesson's finished (this is my excuse for work  :D)

I thought that it was referring to exercising with a keg of beer. Like lifting the keg. Oh well, that's what I first thought of when I saw it.

I looked it up. Hmm...The FOX Censors must have missed that one!

...Could someone explain it to me? Maybe I'm just thick or something... it involves the privates, yes?

We got a 'heads up' from the DVD Commentary, so working it out was easy.  But, yeah, how did that get past the censors?

The FOX censors didn't get that "joke" in Crimes of the Hot with Bender and that "keg" as well.

Bender: "Oh, you're a robot."
"Keg":"Don't stop."
Bender: "Ewww."

You've never heard of the Kegel exercise?  Man, there are very few jokes I don't get...one of the benefits of being a font of trivial knowledge (particularly trivial knowledge in the fields that Futurama writers specialize in).

Kegels are great because they are "racy" enough to be really funny and yet obscure enough that not everyone gets it.

...and then those people feel rather silly searching for 'Kegel' in the University library.    :rolleyes:

I knew about that one.  One of my favorite jokes on the show.

I don't think I've ever looked anything up for Futurama.  There's probably plenty I don't completely understand, but I really don't remember looking any jokes up.

Did for Family Guy (dooadanum, Megan's Law), but never for Futurama.

I think that was supposed to go in the "stuff the censor missed" thread.  I don't think it would be TOO hard to get the two confused. Perhaps.
