I'm guessing the weird thing you're talking about is Fry's briefs...???

I'm more confused to as why Fry would wear a woolen winter cap during the hottest days of global warming.

It is really cool, though, that they stuck subtle little things in like that. The Simpsons sure wouldn't now.   :laff:

Why would Wernstrum design his sun shade like a concave mirror? And put it in exactly the right distance from Earth to make it dangerous? It's almost like he planned it all along. A regular flat mirror would've shaded the sun equally well, and would not have posed a threat.

Since the PE building is near the ocean, wouldn't it have been flooded when the ice caps melted?

No, because it's a cartoon.

Where was Mom during all of this? Would she sit idly by and watch 1 billion robots be terminated?

Since MOMCorp build the robots, she is probably more worried about lawsuits than the fate of a measly million robots. And think of the demand for new robots afterwards. She's going to make billions.

I never saw that light-speed briefs bit.

Have I missed something?

Actually global warming isn't like Hollywood or the media portrays it. Before the ice caps milt the fresh water stops the currents from moving causing the northern latitudes to get another ice age.

Wow, someone who actually reads and knows what they're talking about!

Most scientists who actually study this stuff agree that disrupting the north Atlantic salt flow will stop the currents from bringing warm water to Europe, giving us an extra Canada (compare latitudes on a map). So we'll probably get an ice age, not global warming.

But, many big names in environmentalism have alreay put so much effort into explaining global warming that they'd rather ignore these "new" studies (over a decade old by now) than try to explain something even more complicated.

Ok, here's a new one.
Why were all robots in the universe gathered on the Galapagos islands? Wouldn't all robots on Earth suffice? I don't think the gate-keeper robot from the Near Death star contributes to the global warming on Earth in any way.

Haley's Comet is an actual comet. Named after Edmund Haley, who was the first to succesfully predict the revolution period of a comet, and thus proving that they're members of the Solar system, and not just passing through. Sadly for Haley, the comet didn't return until after his death, but it was named after him. Haley's comet last visited Earth in 1986 and will return in 59 years.

a way to explain this could be that other robots in the universe got word that there was a HUGE robot party on earth thus they decided to attend

What's worse is I don't think it's possible to fit all the robots on one island, probably not even the whole planet......

And in 1066 it was seen over England. This was seen as a bad omen, and it was, we ended up losing the fight that day!

Second. Lucky Normandies (though they too were of Norwegian decent, so I guess it wasn't all that bad)

The Norman Invasion! Yay, Modern European History!

(In MEH, we had about 15 dates to memorize for the entire year. 1066 - The Norman Invasion was one of them.)

I just watched this one again for the first time.  Apparently nobody was wondering, but the "Curious Pussycat" billboard the ship flies past on the way to the conference in Kyoto says "I love you more than your mother" in clumsy Japanese.  Sorry I don't have a grab of it.

nibblers movements make me think that Fry is actually pushing his briefs down rather than up, and combined with the look he's giving Leela..
