Not everyone who shops there is emo or hipster. I only shop there for the Simpons and Futurama stuff.------------------

Hot topic is also a great place for metalheads (such as how i classify myself as being partly), around here ghetto people (the shirts are popular with uptowns and baggy jeans and i kinda dress like that), punks, and otaku so I wouldnt say its just full of emos and hipsters. Actually hipseter if i remember correctly is the same as hippie (though you probally mean modern hippie equivilents) which I defiantly dont think go there.

...A hipster is someone who follows fads. A new age hippie is a Neo-Hippie. Perhaps Fadder is a better term for those people.And no metalheads shop there. NONE! Sorry to tell you.

the one here has nice brutal shirts. There are better shirts at the other store thats true (not spencers some shirt store) but still metalheads basically wear anything, it doesnt even have to be black pretty much as long as it looks cool to them they would wear it. Maybe stereotypical metalheads wouldnt wear all the shirts at hot topic but being a metalhead is about not givin a shit about stereotypes ^^;;. Oh yea and i forgot goths, goths shop at hot topic to. hippie was derived from hipster, and orginal hipsters to be fair were beatnicks basically not hippies however hippies do basically come from that like stoners come from hippies.

I've actually owned that shirt for a long while. That's one of the first ones I owned and I got it last summer. It's good they finally put it on the site.

I ordered myself the Zoidberg shirt and the Leela figure. Needless to say it was at my doorstep this afternoon, after phoning in the order Thursday! Talk about speedy delivery. That shirt amuses me so! i also had a fun time with my camera phone taking pics of my Fry and Leela figures "talking". Fry's tryin' to pick up a date....

I still haven't opened the box containing my Fry figure yet. I'm afraid I'm going to lose one or more of his accessories (God forbid I misplace that tiny holophonor piece).Maybe once I buy the Leela figure I'll change my mind.

Actually it'll do the opposite. The accessories for Leela are even smaller than Fry's items but they actually fit into her hands (that helps a LOT!!), and it only has two guns. As for the Zapp figure, I'm not sure as I don't have him at this time... Review on the Leela figure:
Arriving in the mail today, I pulled open the box, which is made like the Fry box (slightly flimsy in some places but pretty good over all). Leela is only secured to the plastic mold with one twist tie (thank God) on her ponytail. She's not very articulate, but her arms do move and her waist twists unlike the others. Both of her hands can actually hold things unlike Fry (or at least mine... >.> ). Her pony tail is awesomely done. It's got nice detailing on it. The whole figure is a great mold and is enjoyable to put on display, especially next to another figure. [This message has been edited by Professor Zoidy (edited 02-09-2008).]

What's strange is that they don't seem to have Futurama action figures at my Hot Topic store (I've found shirts, but no figures). Guess I'll have to get my Fry figure online. =(

I don't go there often, so when I last went in there about a month ago and saw Zapp and Leela figurines I bought one of each. I called 4 different Hot Topics in my area and found one Fry one. I'm still missing the Zoidberg figure, which disappoints me because that's the one with the Robot Devil's head in it.The last 2 remaining figures are Amy and Kif I believe (Series 3) and online it said they were to appear in June. Has anyone noticed that on the back of some of these packages the misspell Kif's name (Kiff)? Also, I looked up the show in that fat TV encylopedia book in the bookstores (offhand i forget the name of it, its the one with dumb american idol judges on the cover) and when they list the main characters of Futurama, Leela's name is spelled: Toranga Leela. I was so infuriated I almost thought about getting the plusblishing company's name, looking up the address, and writing them a politely worded letter really hidden with my own rage behind it.
