I was just looking on Amazon, and I've found that now Futurama Adventures is listed. Just thought I'd let everyone know, and so people can pre-order it if they wish. For the people who don't know what this is, it's the follow up book to Futurama-O-Rama, and this time, as far as I know it includes 5 Futurama Comics; Comics #5-#9. It was meant to be out in July, but now it has a September 1st release date here, which is a pity, but better late than never...

Amazon.co.uk have listed the book since about Febuary I think, but they also had the July date to start with. Wish they'd get the cover pic up, would be some actual new Futurama art!

I just got Futurama-o-rama and it is fantastic. It's nice to see the slight twists to the Groening style.

I must have the next one.

I'm going to order that at my local bookstore!  It's about time there was a follow-up to Futurama-O-Rama.  I really don't mind it coming in September.  But then again issue #17 won't be out until May!

I'm just going to buy it at the bookstore. It's cheaper, and you get it the day it comes out.

I really doubt that it's necessary to pre order it, it's not like it's so popular that it'll sell out the instant it's released.

Perhaps not, but Amazon tend to be very good at underestimating demand for "cult" items such as Futurama merchandise. If they know there is demand beforehand they will make sure they have enough copies so that we can all get one quickly, otherwise you might have to wait for them to get more in.

Of course, that's just Amazon.

Decided to resurrect this topic since I have some newish info on the TPB.

Just checked Amazon.co.uk, and found that they have the new HarperCollins version of the book (Titan are no longer going to publish it) and have a date of November 1st for it, 2 months later than their earlier September 1st date. Also, they have this synopsis:

"Join Fry, Leela and Bender and the rest of the Planet Express crew a thousand years in the far-flung future, in the all-new Futurama Adventures with stories that'll have you laughing today!Follow Fry, Leela, Bender, and the crew of Planet Express as they fend off hostile takeovers, risk life and limb on a no-holds-barred gameshow, protect New New York City from the Santa Robot's annual slay ride, save the world from the fiendish machinations of Robot Devil, confound terminators from an altered future bent on destroying the past, form a superhero team and rid the universe of marauding break dancers, and fight off the effects of ageing with a mind-bending transformation that could spell the end of all they hold dear. This collection of new full-colour comic strips is the official continuation of the ever-to-be repeated TV adventures. Take flight to the future of FUTURAMA and leave the past behind ... today!"

Nov. 1st! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! That's it, I'm just going to buy the comics individually. Where's the nearest comic book store?

Ps. Cover art looks great by the way. I like how Bender simply doesn't care that he's being attacked by a giant squid.

The cover art looks good, but it seems a little stretched. I assume Milhouse isn't going to be there in the final version?

No, the Milhouse logo is a watermark, and is to show that it is from Bendo's site.

Sounds like we are getting some conflicting news here. Diamond Comics says Futurama Adventures will be shipping the week of the 18th which would be great but I know previous dates we have heard have been as far back as November. Does anyone know if August 18th was the original ship date? Perhaps Diamond Comics has outdated information still?

Stupid comics. I hadn't checked this thread for a while, and because of the ads, I was still expecting a July release. My local comic book owner had some good advice, though; "When a comic book says the release of another comic is July, it could come out in September, November, or maybe even never."

I think it's still the 1st of September in the US, at least that's what amazon.com says. And I think it's November in the UK still...

The US got the 2005 Calendar earlier too. Doesn't make much difference to me though, seeing as I've already pre-ordered Futurama Adventures from the US... And if it's anything like the 2005 Calendar, it'll ship before it's US release date...

OK, so I was wrong on this one and Futurama Adventures did not come out a couple of weeks ago, but according to Amazon it is scheduled to be released in the next week. So, if you are in your local comic book shop and/ or book store there is a good chance you will come across. Don't forget to buy it of course.
On another note, Metro Comics in Santa Barbara, CA is having a signing with Bill Morrison and Nathan Kane. For many of those who live too far to go to this (or are just too lazy like myself) they do take mail order requests and you can email them and have them set aside a signed book for you. I have done this in the past and it has worked out really well.

Unfortunately, from the looks of the Metro Comics website, the only pre-ordered Futurama TP they're offering is Futurama-O-Rama.

Might just be the wrong cover art up, but I wouldn't want to risk getting a copy of a book I already owned, albeit signed.

I've been keeping an eye out on Futurama Adventures over the past few weeks (because I pre-ordered it quite some time ago). First Amazon.com had it down for the 1st of September, then it moved to the 7th, and now the 14th. It's been on the 14th for over a week now, which is only a couple of days away at present (Tuesday to be precise), so fingers crossed! I'll let you all know if and when it finally ships...

There isn't really more to say. It's 5 comics (which I own all copies of), an old Cubert section which was in one of those comics and a segment called "Farnsworth builds his dream-house" which is a two page sketch of his dream house.

In conclusion: It's what it's expected to be.

Futurama-O-Rama had a Matt Groening intro, but from what you say, I take it there's none with Adventures? Also, is it the same size as O-Rama? What's on the back, just pictures of all the Issues?...

Also, I just don't see why this was delayed so much when the cover art was finished months ago, and there appears to be nothing else new...

edit- well it finally shipped today. About time, lazy amazon!...

My copy of Futurama Adventures arrived from Amazon yesterday.  I haven't had much time to look at it, but it appears to be the same size as Futurama-O-Rama.
