It would rock! It would have the same rules as the Simpsons one only it would have areas such as New New York, Madison Cube Garden, Mars University, the Planet Express ship, Titanic, the Slurm Factory, Nimbus, and Characters such as Bender, Fry, Leela, Nibbler, Zoidberg, Proffesor, and even Guenter!

I didn't even know there was a Simpsons one. You know, you really should make the cards.

Maybe I will. All I have to do is copy pictures of Charecters and Places from the Internet and then put the images on cards.

it would be cool if the simpsons card game and the futurama card game had the same image on the back, then you could make a bart fry deck or a homer bender deck!

I think TCG just stands for "The Card Game", though I have no idea what it is. Stupid European here too!

Is it one of those things where you buy packs or cards with random cards in it, and end up waiting your money on loads of duplicates, just to get the so-called 'rare' cards?...

That sounds like a really bad way to make fans pay out loads of cash for basically shit.

I pride myself on being a fan of a show that really doesn't have any tacky merchandise, in the way that The Simpsons does. I would NOT want to see a money spinner like this released.

no, a TCG would not be good. i'm trying to remember how much money i "invested" (and i use the word loosely) in Pokemon cards, and then 2 years later, BAM. it's all gone.
and to clear up more information on TGCs, a TGC is a Trading Card Game, where you collect cards, either buying them in packs, or trading with your friends, and then you can generally make a custom 'deck' of cards and you try to have a deck that will be able to beat your opponents deck. i don't know how characters from futurama and simpsons would "battle" though. the current best exapmle of a TGC is Magic; The Gathering.

Since I have recently purchased a homer deck, I can tell you how the simpsons TCG works. On your turn, you can put out a "scene" card, such as the mall, the comic book store, and the couch. Each scene has some words on it, such as "dumb", "idiot", "fat", "geek", etc., and you can put characters, such as homer or bart, on the scenes if their card (homer or barts) has a word on it that is also on the scene. For example, lets say that you pick the comic book store as your scene, and put it on the playing field. One of the words on the card is fat, so you could play homer on the scene, if one of the words on the homer card is fat. Each scene card has a number on the left, and that is how many characters you would have to have on that scene card that has, lets use the homer example here, fat. When you have that many characters on that scene, you can "score" that scene, thus, you get a point. The object of the game is to get seven points, and if you do, you win. There are also cards that do certain things, such as discard a scene or get rid of a character on one, to make the game more exciting. Now, hopefully you understand the simpsons TCG.

*falls asleep*

But then, plently of things I find fun would seem boring to other people. I just don't like the idea of a TCG for Futurama.

it is pretty fun, you just have to play it to find out. Kazzahdrane, did you understand what I wrote or should I make it clearer?

Nah I understood it. Seems like it plays a bit like the Pokemon card game, but I realise with a different set up and rules etc.

yeah, it feels kinda like pokemon. they have quotes from the shows on the cards that are sometimes pretty funny, too

I don't like TCGs, because that gets me into the habit of trying to collect them and waste my money buying them and getting mad when I get repeats.  But the idea of a Futurama TCG has me thinking 50/50 over it.

I think a trading card game might be going a little too far. We don't want to overmerchandise the show and turn it into Pokemon or something like that. It's why nobody watches the show anymore...with too much merchandise, the public gets sick of your creation.

I personally find all such card games to be a waste of time and money.

I'll stick with my Futurama playing cards any day. You can play so many more games with a standard deck of cards then you ever can with the much more expensive TCGs.

I tried to create a Futurama TCG some time ago but it consumed too much time. I think Nefnar still has some early designs of the cards.

If there was a Trading Card Game, yes I two would get it for the reason that I'm a collector. Amazon and places like that have them up months before they are published...
That's an idea though, your own Futurama Trading Card Game...
