The new season 4 thread. Does anyone have any idea when season four is gonna be on DVD?

if fox air the last episode futurama by october we will probable see it on the market by about christmas.

i dont think fox will sell futurama season 4 on dvd before showing the last episodes

I clicked the link but PEEL said the file doesn't exist. Maybe they deleted it because it had been posted too early. Or maybe I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

I think it's actually a commentary specifically about the writing, rather than the animation (that commentary is 3ACV19)

Eight Months from now. That's my guess, maybe I'm a month off, but that should be it.

I definitely think the Christmas 2003 period will be very attractive to FOX HE, but whether they shoot for it is a matter of maximising the previous box sales. mArc stated on CGEF that the extras were being added - how long before the previous releases was this done?

Unfortunately, as it looks right now, some time next year is a bit more realistic. They're taking a little more time with this one since it'll be the last one. For the first time, David X. Cohen will finally be directly involved.

Even though I hate waiting, I guess it'll be worth it in the end. It sounds like they're gonna go out in style with this final set. And that's awesome that D X. Cohen will be directly involved  :cool: Hopefully it'll be out by early next year, I guess about January/February time  :)

For me, this is one tiny little good point about Futurama only lasting 4 seasons. When I get this, I'll have every episode on DVD - I doubt I'll ever get the full set of The Simpsons.

According to this site, the season 4 of futurama comes to europe in september, the third. The boxart must be fake but, this site was right about the last release (may 28:th in sweden)

I think that date should be taken with a grain of salt. No offense to Zaer, though, good find.  ;)

I'm going to assume the (almost) Worst Case Scenario (not the Voy ep, again  ;)) and futufan is right. After all, he's been right every time before. Why would he start lying to us now? WHY?  ;)

Never the less, I'm sure he's right, as always. I remember the first time he came, telling us of BenderVision themed menu screens... At any rate, I'm sure this one will kick all seven flavors of ass, and I'm willing to wait the extra million years to get it. Hey, I've still got seasons two and three to look forward to! Any more tantalizing details, futufan?

The box art on that link is the season 3 box art, just green background. Also, the number 22 appears in the description, along with the number 4. I'm guessing this is reffering to the 22 eps on 4 discs for season 3, as season 4 will be only 18 episodes long. Maybe just Season 3 page but they've put the number 4 by accident?

The art it that for series 3, only the picture in the front for S3 is shown as being on the side.

I hope the release date is correct.

I don't think anyone is actually lying about details. futufan is the most reliable source. The site that is showing the Season 4 DVD can't have the release date right. It just sounds waaaay too early, and since they are apparently putting more effort into this set than the others because it's the last one, you'd expect the release to take longer than usual.
Also the box art is obviously fake, it's just the picture on the spine of season 3 with the background turned green!
Don't get me wrong i would like the set to be released as early as possible, but a september release just doesn't seem like enough time to get a quality DVD set released.

As there are some discs with 6 episodes in Season 3, could that mean that Season 4 will be just 3 discs? Or would that not leave enough room for extras?
