Yet Season 3 will be out in the UK well before Season 2 is out in the US. What's wrong with this picture? Futurama was developed in the US. It's first aired in the US (well, Sky almost ran ahead of FOX). And the DVDs? They're in Europe first. I know this is a re-re-re-re-re-re-hash of all the Americans' complaints, but it's valid.

Its out in Europe first because Europe doesnt worry about Fox's right to syndicate... or something, all I know is that I've ordered my import.

Yet no American complains when the US gets something before us  ;). For example, GTA:VC:PC is out today in the US, but won't be out here till Friday. MGS2 was in the US waaaaay before the UK or the rest of Europe.

Pifff.  You can have GTA, MGS, and anything else you want in Europe before us if it gets me Futurama S2 and S3 R1 DVD's tomorrow.  It don't make me no nevermind.

Plus the U.S. gets theatrical movies first while the UK folks often have to wait an extra month or longer!

Bah who cares who gets 'em first? I just want MINE!  ;)

Do the European versions have the audio commentaries? that may be one of the reasons.

Nope. They have it.

I think the European Season 1 DVDs even had an extra more than the US ones (Season 1 trailer).

What's with the long wait for an American Release?

I want the Season 2 DVD, but not nearly enough to pay $50-$60 for it. I am just renting the Season 1 DVD's. I'll probably end up renting the Season 2, 3, and 4 DVD's as well.

Everything (especially in the UK) is expensive over here, and it normally takes longer. I don't see why the US doesn't say anything until a few DVD sets get released here first, when nearly everything is released there first.

Where do you get the release date of Sept 2?  The only place I could find a release date was amazon.com and it said August 12... but then again they still have the futurama gc game for pre-order  :(

It was first announced that the DVD set would be released on Sept. 2, but now the release date has apparently been pushed up to August.  For a while, Amazon reported an August 3 release date, but it looks like August 12 is official.
