Well, lets see:

Season 1 - EU: January 2002 US: March 2003
Season 2 - EU: November 2002 US: September 2003
Season 3 - EU: June 2003 US: ??
Season 4 - EU: ?? US: ??

Given that they seem to be speeding up the releases (to 2 sets per year), and that the EU date for Season Two was pushed back from September (which I think is probably less likely to happen with the US), I would concur with your assessment of a January 2004 release. If you add in a small amount of leeway, I think it'll probably hit shelves in March next year. Of course, this is all relative to whether:

a) FOX gets all the episodes shown
b) If they don't, whether they allow them to be put onto DVD - this might be a problem though, because if FOX doesn't air the eps and Sky can't proceed past them, then Sky won't be very happy to see them go straight to DVD.

I hope they'll include a series of interviews with the voice cast, with their opinions and thoughts on the characters they did.

And I really hope Katey Sagal made at least 1 audio commentary. Can they even make the "Leela's Homeworld" commentary without Katey?

And wouldn't it be cool, if Matt recorded a small message to us fans? Maybe just to thank for the petition, and support for the show?

I would give my right arm to hear Matt say "FOX are a load of bastards" right at the end of the "Devil's Hands..." commentary.

True. I kinda quessed that one!

The dates for U.S. dates as far to late for me.  Living in the U.S., I am really considering a all-region dvd playback device attachment or disc to play ones from the U.K.

True.  However, I still think it sucks.  If I wait, It will be this time next year before I get it.  No fair.  The UK has Sky showing Futurama in a good time slot.  And I don't have CN.  And Season 4 sets seem forever from now.


 

What the is a Knux Bender?

"Knux" is a term a few friends and I have for me.  Knux is in reference to Knuckles from the STH series.  And I wanted Bender in my Futurama idenity so I added it.

Sorry to disappoint you, Lee, but I'm probably not who you're thinking of. Futufan and payndz are usually the top dogs at finding out this sort of thing, as they both work (or know of someone, for all I know) in the industry. Me, I'm just a university student with too much time on his hands and an itchy index finger  .
