It was a good show. I hate it now. I was one of the only people watching it at my school back in '99, when it came out. Then, a few years later, everybody liked it. I hated it. The jokes ran dry as well. And it seems as they've jumped the shark, though I'm not sure when they did.

Also, we have a Nicktoons thread.

I saw a new episode yesterday and I gotta say, it was sad. I mean really like that episode was just showing how the staff has ran out of material to keep going. I was just shocked at how uncreative the show was. And I'm not saying that SB is my favorite show but I had nothing to watch yesterday. The show needs to die before it sinks lower then where it already is.

@ weiner: OMG cute avy!

the old spongebob was halarious, i love the jocks with the rocks
ie when patrick wins the snail race with "rocky"
or when spongebob just takes a rock "like in the old times" anddrives it out of the desert, that was pure gold

asimov remids me of a friend of mine... probably cause his name is Asim.

Anyways, I used to watch Spongebob because my friend ...Asim... got me into it. I eventually got bored of it though.

well i like the episode when with the whole wallet thind. where they are teaching the bad guy to be good. i first saw that when i was like 10, but i still laugh everytime.
also the episode when patrick wants to be like spongebob.
i gotta say that i only watch it still, cause tom kenny does the voice of spongebob. and he was always my favorite actor on futurama. he's also very talented

@ Spy:   :laff: really... Anyways, SB seems to be losing most of it's luster.. It's like they don't have any more ideas, yet they make episodes anyway..Some are really pointless. Season two was the only season halfway worthy season to get the boxed set of.

At least I spell out the words and don't use Caps Lock.

I don't think Spongebob and Patrick are gay together. Though, the point that they have a straight, or believed to be straight, "friend" who lives between the two of them that they think is their friend and a Texas friend who is a girl does make you wonder.

Sheldon J. Plankton

Owner of the Chum Bucket, the rival resturant to the Krusty Krab. Sheldon has been known to concoct schemes of varying levels of complexity to get the formula to the Krabby Patty. However could all his failures be attributed to a subconcious guilt perhaps? I mean, Sheldon has been trying to steal the formula from Mr E.H. Krabs for over 30 years. Long enough to devolop some kind of mutual respect, albeit a begrudging one.

Sandra 'Sandy' Cheeks

A scientifically minded squirrel from Texas (this should have been odvius by the fact that she lives in an air-filled dome that she evidently built herself)she is, however, knowlegeful of the 'dumb Texas hick' steriotype and deepley resents it. (remember when SpongeBob and Patrick made fun of her home state,? She totally flipped.[this may have been why she left Texas, to escape the ridicule])Far from being a dumb hick, Sandy is a keen sportstswoman (squirrel?(!))she has an intrest in Karati or Kara-Tay as she and SB refeer to it. She is also the straight man(woman?squirrel?) to Patrick. She also has a scence of right and wrong and is not above calling her friends out when she thinks there in the wrong. Case in point: Squirrel Jokes in which SB made offensive [to squirrels at least] jokes about squirrels. Sandy taught SB a lesson by acting exactly like the steriotype portrayed by SB in his jokes. This shows one of two things abot Miss Cheeks. The first: I have stated before, the second: Sandy Cheeks is a valiant soldier crusading against predjudice.

They play the episodes way too much. I fell asleep watching one once. Well, I was actually already half-asleep, somewhat aware of sound alone. but still... Also, the new episodes get really old after seeing them once, and watching them repeatedly makes me wish I could shoot myself or get run over by oncoming traffic.

Everybody can love this show. Adults find just as much humour in it as kids I think. I can't speak for adults though.
