I'll say Batman. I saw it again recently, and it was actually pretty cheesy. It had some laugh-out-loud bad moments, actually. But, I still enjoyed watching it, because it reminds me of my childhood, and it had some memorable lines/moments. Also, Joker is cool.
I'll have to see Batman Returns again to properly judge that one...I don't need to see Forever and Robin again to know that they are the suckiest movies ever.
Batman Begins was good, but not great. It started out great, with all the Bruce Wayne stuff. After that, it got a little silly--mainly because the whole movie was ultra-serious, and yet it was about a man who dresses up like a bat and battles to save the city from a giant microwave. Batman's "tough guy" voice was a little bit silly. But again, I loved all of the Bruce Wayne stuff. And Scarecrow was really good. If it weren't for nolstalgia, this would definitely be my favorite Batman. I look forward to the sequel.

I maintain that Begins does the best job of any superhero movie at creating a sense of realism and suspending disbelief.
Also, I still haven't seen the first one.

I thought Batman was a pretty good film, despite the occasinal cheese on the side. Returns really proved that the man under the mask doesn't usually have the best performance. The villans usually do. Forever is the only Joel film I will watch. ONly for Carrey's performance. Batman and Robin is yur token Hollywood crapfest.Begins brought back the greatness of Batman that was so forgotten after 1995. It is my favorite.

Well I would say:
1. Batman Begins 2. Batman the Movie (60's) 3. Batman Returns 4. Batman 5. Batman Forever 6. Batman and Robin
I am also greatly looking forward to the Batman Begins extended dvd cut, cause who wouldnt want more of the scarecrow? Also very high hopes for the Batman Begins sequal.

I think I've seen "Batman the Movie". Is it the one with the weird camera angles and maybe three villians?
Let me say I haven't seen Batman Begins. Also, I don't think that the sequel to Begins will come on par with Batman Returns, but, again, I haven't seen Begins, so I wouldn't know.
With that said, I have to go with Batman. The order would be: 1. Batman 2. Batman Returns 3. Batman Forever 4. Batman and Robin

A significant point which I think is made in ‘Batman Begins’, highlighted in its penultimate scene, is that the personalities behind figures such as Batman and the Scarecrow do not simply disappear or reappear with the wearing of a mask. The mask is a tool, a conduit through which the will of the person is focused, but the ‘villainy’ of the person is constantly defined by their actions, and not their recognisable identity. That the audience was able to see Jonathan Crane in his capacity as a corrupt official, working with Falcone and happy to poison the city’s water supply, all to further his own experiments and for his own gain, is just as important, if not more so, as having him gallavanting around in his later deranged state. I'm sorry that it was so boring for you that Christopher Nolan actually attempted to give a pyschological explanation for his characters actions, that he attempted to round them rather than make use of the rough carboard cut-outs used by Schumacher, but I found it a welcome relief. Originally posted by Eyedol7513:There were no good visuals, ecept for the few second that Scarecrow was shown. This is in comparison to a depiction of an unnecessesarily phantasmagorical Gotham City, more so than anything ever found in any Batman comic or film. Also, check one of the final scenes in ‘Batman and Robin’, where one of the icicles shown on a police car door wobble, making it clear to anyone who hadn't noticed the blindingly obvious, that this is in actual fact poorly disguised plastic, which in no way resembles ice. Originally posted by Eyedol7513:Plus, it's just my opinion, it's not like it's gonna affect anyone or anything. Incorrect. By posting your opinion on an internet forum, you are sharing it with the community who frequent it and leaving an open invitation for anyone to comment upon what you are saying. I'm sorry if I sound overly-harsh, but ‘Batman and Robin’, in its dogged pursuit of nothing more than an easy profit, utterly raped the concept of Batman and helped to instill an image in the minds of a generation of a character utterly different from what Batman actually is. Because of it, people had to wait nearly eight years before anyone in the film community would attempt to portray Batman in any shape or form, let alone accurately, on the cinema screen again. The fact is that ‘Batman and Robin’ isn't Batman, it isn't even a good film, it's a poorly directed, poorly scripted, poorly presented piece of trash, and how anyone could do anything other than laugh at it, is beyond me.

Bushmeister, your post is hilarious. You take things way too seriously! Originally posted by Eyedol7513: Plus, it's just my opinion, it's not like it's gonna affect anyone or anything. Bushmeister's response: Incorrect. By posting your opinion on an internet forum, you are sharing it with the community who frequent it and leaving an open invitation for anyone to comment upon what you are saying. Nice non-sequitor. Eyedol wasn't saying that nobody had the right to comment on what she's saying. She just said that her comment wouldn't affect anybody...because in the end, it's just one person's opinion, so why get so bothered over it? Personally, I think Batman & Robin is one of the worst movies ever. But I still get what Eyedol's saying, sort of. The Joel Schumacher movies are all bright and colorful--which may be more visually stimulating than Batman Begins, which, in its attempt to be "real", was visually very boring. Frankly, that's why I prefer Burton's version. His movies were fairly interesting to look at, and brought some "fun" to the franchise. Schumacher went way overboard and turned it into a crapfest. All of that neon and the fast cutting around literally makes the movie painful for me to watch. Nolan made it very serious and very good, but at the expense of fun, visually interesting action sequences.

Batman =/= bright and colorful.
He's the Dark Knight, after all.
Superman is bright and colorful.
That's what's wrong with Batman and Robin - it completely misses the point of what and who Batman is, of the mood of the character.
Also, the casting was muy terrible.

I've voted for Batman as the best film but if I'd seen Batman Begins then I'd probably be voting for that as I think Christopher Nolan is an excellent director and Christian Bale is an excellent actor compared to George Clooney.

No--what's wrong is, it's a crappy movie with a crappy director and crappy writing. Batman has been through so many different writers, artists, directors and actors, who's to say what Batman is "really" supposed to be? The character has just been pulled in too many different directions. So no, I'm not upset at Batman & Robin for "raping" the character. I'm upset at it for simply being a terrible movie. yea Joysauce notice the gender symbol It's a lot easier to notice a girly avatar, than a tiny tiny gender icon which gets lost easily enough amidst the stars and other little icons/doodads in that region. Also, combine that with the fact that "Eyedol" reminds me of "Idol", as in "American Idol", which only girls like-- and the fact that they enjoyed Batman & Robin more than Batman Begins--and you can see how easy it is to make that mistake. I apologize.
