I just love the scene where Al has the sign that reads, "Shoot Me for $12".

I also loved it when Peg had got hit on the head and Al brainwashed her to be a good house wife.

Marci: "Peg and I mean this with love, you are the laziest bitch in Chicago."

You can also discuss on anything you want about the show.

i was quite fond of that one ep where Al was visited by Death (played by Katey Sagal in a great black wig) and they were sitting on the couch together watching Al's family have dinner with the Darcys on the tv and whether or not Al got to live was determined on if his family needed him. Katey made a great Death.

i pretty much watch anything Katey is in. It's gotten to the point where my cats recognise the sound of her voice. It's pretty funny to see the confusion on their faces when they recognise the voice but not the person it's coming from (since she never looks the same from show to show)

Really? Except for Futurama, she's pretty typecasted-that Disney movie had her wear the same hairstyle as in MWC...always the housewife, arg.

That was just that Disney movie. In 8 Simple Rules, and all of her Lifetime channel movies she looks completely different.

I was a fan of Seven, but they got rid of him due to low ratings.  Why did people not like him?

Seven: (talking about Al) "I'm proud to call that lousy bum my dad."

Seven was cool and it was funny seeing Peg acting all motherly to him and ignoring Kelly and Bud.

Why did nobody like Seven?

Because child actors suck! No matter what.

I haven't seen an episode with Seven in years(do they not rerun them?), but I remember thinking he was alright when I was a kid. Still, child actors have no place on Married With Children, or anywhere for that matter.

All I remember about Seven was how horribly the child actor was, that guy couldn't act himself out of a phonebooth if his life depended on it. Every time he said something, I cringed at how artificial and incincere it sounded, talk about breaking suspention of disbelief. You could almost feel the FOX Executives hand in his introduction. "Hey, let's bring in a cute, little kid to make the show more human. The audience love cute, little kids. It came to me in a dream last night."

Favorite Married w/ Children Moment..

Al in "A Dump Of His Own" "I just wish I could find out what's happening to my tools, and my copper tubing, and my towels, and my life, and my manhood..."

Freaking great.
Oh and Seven, Sucked. He added an extention to the dysfunctional family that wasn't nessesary, or even funny. He was just dropped off for no reason, and was removed for the same.

I got the first 2 seasons, and the 2 outragous comps. ... Can't wait till the 3rd comes out.

The only good joke Seven produced was seeing him as a lost kid on a milk carton. Now that's good meta humor.  :D

Hey, I know child actors suck, ie Frankie Muniz, but Seven was meant as a satire of all those shows that added a child star later in their series.

Was that the one w/ Kirk Cameron?? ehh, all I remember was the dicrapio part. Must have blocked the other stuff out, like I did with my middle school, and highschool.. and some college too.

And does anyone know if/when a Season 3 of MWC is coming to R1 DVD?

Another episode I really liked was the Mr. Empty pants episode.  Peg turns Al into a pathetic comic cartoon character.  Simpsons would rip this joke off when Bart turns Homer into Angry Dad.

*bump*
Sorry buts it's only been about 6 or 7 months and this is the only Married with Children thread.  You can shoot me if you'd like, but that would be about $12.

Anyway, I liked the one where Al becomes a sex symbol and all the woman want him, making peggy jealous.  At the end of the episode, Al reverts back to his former sloppy self.  And Al says something really funny, I forget what, but it entails that he's Married with Children.

Another classic moment is when he wins the baseball game for his team and becomes MVP for yet another time, at the very end of the episode, Al is playing baseball, and he's really good, it almost seem like Ed wasn't in character, he carried himself with such pride.
I watch the show late at nigh on FX, i'm glad their rerunning it.

Again, sorry for bumping.

That show wore out its welcome pretty quick with me.  After a few episodes, I could pretty much predict how things were gonna go each time:

AL:  I hate my life!

AUDIENCE:  Yeah...wooo...cheer!

PEGGY:  Give me money!

AL:  You're a lousy cook!

PEGGY:  You're sexually inadequate!

AUDIENCE:  Wooooooo!

BUD:  I'm home from school!  I'm going to be a pervert for awhile.

AUDIENCE:  Woooooo!

KELLY:  I'm a slut!  Look at my sexy outfit!

AUDIENCE:  Wooooooo!

NEIGHBORS:  We're complete shit-heads!

AUDIENCE:  Wooooooo!

The end.

Very Good.  But you forgot about when Al has a scheme that is a "sure thing", but ends badly.

And the Neighbors are also nosey.

They were also apparently planning to introduce a baby in season six, since they wrote in Katey Sagal's real-life pregnancy and made Marcy pregnant as well. Then they dropped the storyline when Sagal miscarried.

I think you're thinking of "The Unnatural," and the last scene is based on the movie Eight Men Out.

I haven't seen any episodes in a while, but one of the ones I liked best was "Married with Aliens," in which Al saves the world.

I saw that they've finally planned to release season 3 on DVD, but because of rights issues, the original opening song will not be used. Apparently the owners of the song wanted to charge too much money for its use, so it will somehow be replaced on the episodes on the DVD. Apparently the DVD packaging will have a warning informing buyers of this change. The previous DVD releases used the song with no problems.

I think opening songs are useless, their cool at first, but after awhile you get tired of them, there are a few occassions when I like the opening song, like Futurama, simpsons, and That 70s Show, but most of the time, they should just cut it completely, (by they I mean the King of Queens, I love the show, but hate the theme song).

I like the alien episode too.

What the Alien episode?
If so, then that's the episode where aliens come down and steal Al's socks for fuel, it is a very good episode.

"Deep Space Homer"

Tim Taylor- I've Killed Wilson!  Guess it's back to jail for me.

That's one of my favorite episodes.

I liked when they did a satire of Married with Children on Futurama, in "Bicyclope built for two"

*Any episode where Kelly dressed like a slut.
Seven was crap. The main actors and supporting actors had to step up, but the Seven character brought down the character of the show.
I haven't seen many episodes, but the one where they are on the ship, and in the end they are on some raft, is my favorite.
Quick question. What was the series finale of the show like? Was it like Futurama's?*

I don't think there was a series finale, Ed O'Neill found out from a couple on their honeymoon.

The Powers That Be had trouble with letting Kelly getting married, something like, the kids couldn't get married or move out.

I'm sure someone who knows more will fill in the blanks.
