These are some more of those MTV cartoons, and they're both pretty cool.  Although it seems to me like MTV cartoons don't normally last that long (anyone seens that show SpyGroove?).  3 South is pretty funny, it's about college students.  "Hey where'd all this broken glass come from?" "You idiot, you've been throwing your empty beer bottles against the wall" "Funny, I don't remember any broken glass in those bottles".  I saw Clone High the other day, it seems promising.  It's about clones of famous people going to high school, like JFK and Abe Lincoln.

I watched a few minutes of 3 South(at least I think that's what it was...I don't know, it was some crappy cartoon on MTV). It was pretty crappy. The jokes seemed kind of Family Guy-ish, in the sense that they were trying to be so wacky and unpredictable, but I saw most of the jokes coming from a mile away(not that it matters, since the jokes are lame from any distance).

I can't watch Clone High. The drawing style is too ugly and Powerpuff Girls ripoff-ish.

You're damn right about MTV cartoons having a short lifespan. I actually find "Undergrads" quite funny, actually much better than the ads let it on to be. So, of course, it was cancelled. That is the MTV comedy about college to check out.

As for "3 South"...damn that animation is ugly! It makes "Dilbert" look like "Futurama". And the jokes aren't much better. It's way too bland. At least it'll be gone soon.

"Clone High" is okay. The Gandhi character steals the show, of course. The mad scientist is also pretty cool, too. The rest of the characters are fine, they serve their purpose. Aside from the premise, it's not that creative. The artwork reminds me of that "Time Squad" show on CN. Jeez, that animation company sure has some obsession with history...

Ok, maybe it's not exactly like the Powerpuff Girls, but still. It has the same heavy-outlined, weird-angled drawing style that you see on Powerpuff Girls, Time Squad, Fairly Oddparents, and probably a bunch of other shows.

3-South: Well, *I* like it. Especially that hillbilly guy. Geh-hyick-hyick!
Clone High: Ugly and dull so far. But I like Gandhi.

Spy Groove was great. I can't believe they cancelled it. Now, what's "Clone High" about? I take it it has something to do with cloning and historical figures.

From the two episodes I saw, it deals with this mad scientist that cloned many historical figures. Now, they're teenagers attending the scientist's "high school/testing ground". Of course, none of the clones turned out exactly like they should, leading to an air-headed, chauvenistic JFK, a goth Joan of Arc, and the scene-stealing A.D.D. affected Gandhi.

Gandhi really is pretty good, but Abe Lincoln is cool too.  The scientist guy is pretty funny.  NOW INTO MY DEATH MAZE WITH YOU!!!!  I liked SpyGroove too, that was a funny show.

I must admit, Clone High is starting to cathc on with me. There must be something good about a series that can make Tom Green funny.

The hyperactive Tom Green was pretty funny. "Hey, want to take a dump on my parent's bed?"

I think Tom Green is a whole lot more bearable when I don't actually have to look at him.

You know, for the first time I've actually seen an episode of Clone High from start to finish. It's actually pretty good. And it's making Tom Green bearable.

MTV put the show on Hiatus starting Monday, March 17th. Sad.

Sorry to "resurrect" a nearly dead thread, but I discovered why Clone High has been placed on hiatus.  According to many sources, MTV got a lot of complaints from MTV India because of CH's Gandhi character.
 http://www.indiantelevision.com/headlines/y2k3/jan/jan181.htm
I can understand how many people could be offended by Gandhi.  However, in my opinion, as long as the show isn't shown on MTV India, it should still be on.  I really enjoy it and find it to be one of the quirkiest things I've seen from Touchstone Television (Which astounds me, as Touchstone is owned by Disney).  It definitely grows on you (My parents aside) and I love the animation style.  It's reminiscient of Time Squad but it also reminds me of Invader Zim, with its characters sporting sharp edges.  I'm not sure if that's the best description.   :p   Anyway, I heard MTV showed a new episode a while ago, though I didn't catch it.  Did anyone here see it?

BBT, if you're really interestd, 11 of the 13 first season episodes have been shown in Canada and are "available." I have seen them, and it's a shame MTV doesn't support the show. The only ones that haven't been shown are the 'holiday' episode and the second part of the 'prom' episode. I don't know why.

evan - I've seen all the episodes except for 11 - the Mandy Moore one.  Yes, I've even seen the second half of the prom episode.  Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Incidently, when is MTV going to take it off hiatus?

Mmm...pipe.

Knowing MTV, it'll probably be taken off hiatus when Fox takes Futurama off hiatus.

Never.

edit -- well, well, well, Nix. Looks like someone here "found" the final episode. Guess who it is? Hint: It's me

Aeon Flux, and yeah, I remember it. I thought it sucked. Shows about hideously anorexic women getting killed every episode don't float my boat. I think the series' creator has serious issues with women.

Clone High is an amazing show. I've only seen a couple, but the best of them so far is the Snowflake Day special. The knork is great. I laughed like crazy when he kept cutting his cheek open. That sounds pretty sick, but oh well.

And, yes, I just finished watching the final part to the prom episode. They better get picked up for another season, because you cannot end a show like that.

No? You've never seen the Snowflake Day special? It's like Christmas but religiously inoffencive. You should watch it, its a really good one.

I agree evan. I've seen the second half, and in another thread, I thought you meant you knew how it would turn out. Its a great show.

I actually paused it to when you see Joan's rack, and it says NICE blocking one nipple and TRY blocking the other.

I'm still finding which episodes I haven;t seen... looking for an episode guide to make that easier.

JFK: "First you steal my jokes, then you steal my peeping-bush?!"
Gandhi: "Shut up!"
JFK: "You shut up!"
Gandhi: "Shut up!"
JFK: (at the verge of tears) "Did you just tell me to shut up?!?"

Gandhi: "Hey, Cleo, remember me?"
Cleo: "Uh..."
Gandhi: "...Gandhi! We had every class together last year!"
Cleo: "Uh..."
Gandhi: "I gave you one of my kidneys!"
(inside shot of Gandhi's remaining kidney: "I miss him." )
Cleo: "Uh..."
Gandhi: "I was your clone brother until you told our parents to get rid of me because I was cramping your style..."

Speaking of the Raisen one...
There a picture at the beggining of the clone high mascot, a one of a raisen smoking, one that says: Scudworth is your favourite character and a few more. The best is JFK talking backwards after he falls through the roof. I made a recording of it the right way around. Check: http://kmac.hypermart.net/peel/jfkback.wav

I am talking backwards and telling you to watch clone high. And for it to get an emmy. I'm saying that backwards. Cause its neat!
