This is the new show on Cartoon network. What do you guys in the peelscape think of it? I like it. But only because of Mandy.

It's a great idea for a cartoon, but falls flat on implimentation. How can you screw up a cartoon that has the Grim Reaper as a comedic foil?   :laff:

I agree with what people are saying, it had potental  as any Discworld fan would say, but it didn't live up to it. The second season is a little better but still needed some work, needs to be a little darker.

Evil con Carne needs a shit load of work, the series could be great but suffers from dumb concepts (ie the bear, the nemesis is a fish, etc) I think they were trying to distance themselves from Austin Powers Dr Evil.

I actually like the bear. I think it lends some humor to how Hector Con Carne wants to do something diabolical, but instead his 'body' is off frolicing like an idiot.

Was the name Cthulhu mentioned once? Cuz, if it was, Grim and Evil is now my favorite show.

(since when has Fry tried to summon the horrors of the Great Old Ones?)

Its just started being shown in the UK not long ago and I thought it looked like a really good show. I caught the end of one of the episodes the other day and there was the grim reaper in it and it was kinda funny  :)
Then yesterdy I watched a bit and the grim reaper wasn't in it at all. It was just this wierd brain and a bear of some sort. It was pretty crap  :hmpf:
So I dont know if the program is lots of sketches or something but I only like the parts with the grim reaper  :)

There are two different shows, one with the Grim Reaper and one with the brain in the bear. The ones with death are much funnier. The second season they actually have secondary characters on the show, there is a James Bond esq fish that goes after the brain (not that funny). And in the other, there is a guy who is based after Ash from the Evil Dead Movies trying to kill Grim.

Evan, no they call the horror nog or something like that. The only cartoon that I know of that mentioned Cthulhu was Ghostbusters.

Yeah, Larry and Steve! That was soooo funny! That should have been made into a cartoon over Courage and Dexter.

Yeah, it's definitely much better this season. Hoss Delgado kicks ass.

Now, if only I hadn't missed the episode with the brain-eating meteor. They played a clip from that show as a "short cut"... the song is hilarious.

I seen some of it and I thought it was good. I don't really know when it's on but I do see it when I channel surf.

I like the bear with the talking brain.

Well, Juliet, when a mommy and a bear love each other very much, they get certain feelings for one another....er, maybe we should take this to the Mythical R-Rated Forum...

No one can. "Taking it to the R-Rated Forum" is slang that I just made up for "I don't want to discuss it anymore, but I'll pretend so as not to hurt your feelings."

I think the show's pretty good. I love the Grim part of the show, but I can't stand the Evil part. When the first Grim episode finishes and they're about to show an Evil one I always change the channel. Then I come back at the end to see the end of the show.

You know, they should do what Cow and Chicken did. They spun I. M. Weasel into it's own series. They should spin Evil Con Carne into it's own series and give Grim the full half hour. This allows The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy to show it's real potential and it gives a boost to Evil Con Carne.

Plus, I know that there are quite a few people out there who either watch the show just to watch Grim, but hate Evil, or love Evil and hate Grim. Putting a strong distance between The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne would probably be the smarter move if you ask me.
