I haven't seen Red Dwarf for what 10-12 years, but I used to love it.

Me neither, haven't seen it in years, but it is by far one of my favourite cult TV programs.

The last two series were pants. But the first six or seven series (I lost count) were fantastic. Series one and two were definately the best though.

Here, it's available on Ch. 21 at 10:30 on Fridays... which means it'll soon be on against first-run episodes of Farscape.

Ah well, they've been showing Season 8 lately, so no big loss.

Season 8 was poor in comparison to the other seasons. I watched the show from the very beging even though I was pretty young and didn't get all the jokes I still thought it was great :)

Every movie plan in the past has had most of the original caracters replaced and done in Hollywood. Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think Hollywood has the humour to pull it off. It is a distinctly Brittish humour.
Edit - Having just visited the official site, I will echo Morris' statement: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I thought series 8 was good, better than 6/7. The first ones are definitely the best though.

I love Red Dwarf, I think that series 8 is better than series 7. I actually think Series 5-6 are the best.

They're all good.  :D

My favourite scene is still the Lister "shagging" one from Polymorph. On the interview CD in the box set the writers said they've never seen anything before or since where they just couldn't stop the audience from laughing so much.

And kudos to Chris Barrie for keeping a straight face.

"You'll bonk anything won't you, Lister?"

P: Rutut
K: (Bangs)
P: Hununga
K: (Bangs)
P: Nurreek

Was what Zed put what Rimmer said when he took over from Ace and left the series, he certainly didn't use the "correct" line.

I'm a huge RD fan. Loved it right up until about S7. It just started to get a bit stale after Rob Grant left the series. Shame.

Also the writers seemed to forget that the whole point of the show was Lister's desire to get back to earth after an accident that wiped out the whole crew. During S7 they actually did it and no-one seemed to care.

Where Rimmer messed up Ace's line. Yes, I know what I meant.  :p I thought everyone else would have spotted the deliberate mistake.

Yeah, but then they were destroyed and rebuilt by the nanobots which meant that they were stuck back on board Red Dwarf again for S8.

My favourite red dwarf scene was the crew's performance of 'tongue tied' and now you can see the full uncut version of the song on the series two DVD. Pure comedy.

I only started watching Red Dwarf during the 6th season. Now that I've seen a few of the older episodes I love it    BBC2 are currently showing Red Dwarf II late on thursday nights, I'll have to save up for the DVDs one day   :) One fo my favourite quotes is:
Rimmer: Hands up if your alive!

Are there any transcripts of episodes on the internet?

My favourite episode is from series 6 or 7, called "Blue", in which Kryten has created a musical of Rimmer   :laff:

Red Dwarf's brilliant, the cheesy effects and brilliant twisting of classic sci-fi plots!!

Inspired by Doug Adams Hitchkiker series too, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh. Your. God.

Only one of the greatest shows ever to grace BBC comedy and that's a tough market to crack, go to hell NibblerJr and sit on a hot coal till I die, come down and kick your ass.

In case anybody noticed, I've cut down severly on the swearing and death threats in my posts made in anger, and this one came from a boiling cauldron of rage (also when you've answered this question in anger a dozen times before, it gets old.)

As for the show, I think time will describe Red Dwarf far greater than I ever could, it is one of the truest cult greats.

I love red Dwarf. It used to come on every sunday here but for some reason they put a stop to that.   :(

Also, I got very lost because they showed them all out of order. I've been considering the DVD's but I know there are several seasons. :(

Ah, Red Dwarf. I have't seen a Episode in ages, Mainly because it's shown at 1 AM on UK Gold.

I can't decide betweem Wax-World or the one Where Kryten turn's himself into a human of which is my favourite.
