It's cute!  I like it.

Is it just me, or do VF's links always open in the same tab in Firefox, instead of in a new one like they do for everyone else's links?

Just look at it with your eyes, not your clicker!  :)

It's the amazing world of HTML. You'll notice certain of Nix's links do it too. I suppose they could add a target="_blank", but apparently some think that's evil.

^Yeah, it's odd, because it actually is considered "bad form" or something to have stuff open in a new window/tab because it confuses people who don't know what a window is. I hate getting the short end of the stick (that saying makes no sense, does it?) every time someone can't figure shit out. I got quite cheesed when I listened to the Ep.2 and Portal commentaries and heard of all the cool shit they cut because the testers kept running in circles.

Get Link Alert add-on, it tells ya what the target/filetype of most links are.

Does Opera have that?  :p

Very cute Velourawesome.

Edit: I scrollwheel click links I don't want to open up in the current active frame... That opens it in a new tab in firefox.

I think that going against the grain of the boards own code is bad form. So if links usually open in a new window they should always do. If they don't open in a new window they shouldn't. But damn I nearly caused a riot when I suggested that at another UBB board. Apparantly adding a target="_blank" is more effort than having to reopen a browser window and navigate back to the page you were previously viewing. To say nothing of the fact that UBB parses URLs anyway. Using HTML is a way to make yours and everyone else's life more difficult. /rant

@Frisco17 "Archie, why were you hanging out with cows and can I come next time?" The cow was giving me the evil eye. And, yes.

@seattlejohn1: "Bike camping in a cow pasture...interesting. Was cow tipping involved?" No.

@airbagfailure: "Put some jeans on Archie..." You ride 160miles (257km) and then come back and tell me that.

Cause everyone wants more pictures of me. Right?
The BBQ was amazing. Two lamb steaks, two quarter pounder burgers, two sausages, two chicken legs and three rolls each. It took about two hours to cook and eat by which point it was 1am and we were left with the campsite drunks. Good times. Anyone up for a ride anywhere else in the UK? What's that I hear? Stoney silence?

I like your barbeque pants, Archie!

Your barbeque tent, on the other hand...  :nono:

I always wonder how so many PEELers manage to get other people to photograph them for internet misadventures? I always offer my camera to people and they just sort of make excuses and say "who actually uses the word misadventure in conversation". I'll get my revenge somehow.

See, I don't actually want that. I use the keyboard exclusively and usually decide for myself which links I wanna open in new tabs. Shift + arrows navigates links, shift+enter opens in new tab, shift+ctrl+enter opens in background tab and menu key followed by o opens in same tab. It takes no more than a picosecond to do these things, and I can't remember the last time I used enter on its own for a link.

edit: you can of course combine this with mouse clicks.

You should totally do that, Cha-Chi. There's your reason.

Thanks Rach! I can never figure out what color it is. Auburn sounds good. It's NATURALE.

RE:HTML: It's easier for me to remember HTML than stupid UBB code, and when I grab links from flickr they have the HTML already written out for you, so all I have to do is one simple copy and paste. This is not creating any extra work for me. Like I said, if you don't like it, don't click it!

Archie: Did you save me a lamb steak? Thanks!

Amy: Scary/neat crossbow! But what did that phone book ever do to you?!  :)

The [img][٪img] tags and the [url][٪url] tags aren't that hard to remember... and if you need  an image nested in the url use .

It's less typing than <a href=><img src=><&#1642;a>, unless you're using copy/paste.:rolleyes:

Oddly, I read this as "My natural mouse hair color is brown."  I couldn't figure out why your mouse (computer pointing device) would have hair before I realized you meant an actual mouse, which, of course, was before I realized I'm an idiot.

Lovely crossbow pics.  I didn't know phone books were in season this time of year.

Yes but more particle-y.
In fact, I always wondered what kind of damage a single atom of something heavy would caused to a human body if it was fired at super high velocity...
