I've seen him once, from afar, at the big day out. He spat venom for a while. It was fairly cool. Have either of you (ABF, Zeej) watched his talk show? I occasionally see it while I'm channel surfing, but have never actually watched it.

Hmm.. good question. The salary of an airline employee is very slim indeed, so we do a lot of window shopping and save up for trips to exotic places.I did buy a copy of "Bender's Big Score" because I want to make sure we get more Futurama stuff in the future. Otherwise, my main indulgence is Thorlo's socks, the best smart wool socks I have ever had- great for hiking, horse trekking or lounging about the house. They clean well and last for years. Worth every currency unit (insert unit from your galaxy) I paid for them! My next big purchase is a horsetrek in Transylvania (or Catalonia if the dollar continues to go south) , so all the money is being saved up for that. These trips involve riding horseback through historical places and often ancient riding trails and staying at ranches, hotels, campgrounds and all- with a chance to enjoy the local food and culture and meet people from the places we visit (my goodness do I sound like an older version of Leela!) . I hope the Transylvania trip works out though- I always wanted to see that area... and maybe scope out "The Honking" sites :-)

Hmm, Thorlo, you say? I usually wear some brand from Costco. Comfy and inexpensive, but they wear out in the heels pretty quickly. The best I've ever worn are under the actual trademarked SmartWool brand, but they's expensive. Though looking at the REI website, Thorlos are almost as expensive. I think it's time for a sockbuying expedition, and the weather's getting nice enough here that I can stomp the hills around town to test 'em out before I do anything serious this summer. Of course my problem with doing anything serious is if I have the time, I don't have the money, and if I have the money, I don't have the time. Let's see ... did I actually buy anything today? Nope. In fact, I didn't even leave the house. Granted, this is bad, I should have gone to the gym, but oh well.

I bought the latest Foo Fighters album today. I needed to break a fifty. I can't remember the last time I bought a CD that wasn't blank. I miss the old days where I'd buy a new album/single and spend all night listening to it, no need to touch the television/computer/door handle...anywho, it's sounding alright so far. Ooohhh and I ordered Lost season 2 last night...AND Sliders season 1 and 2. I can't wait for Sliders. It'll probably be crap compared to what I remember it being but still..nostalgia x 1 000 000 000.

I've been going away/doing something once a month lately... Summer has been fun this year hehe Honestly, this month is terrible though because I actually can't afford this trip in a couple of weeks if you boil it down. I'm moving house on Sunday so consider removalist (up to $200), rent upfront ($455), bond upfront (another $455), car rego due in 2 weeks ($575) and car insurance another week after that (over $500) .. you can say I'm kinda fuckin poor right now So I probably shouldn't be spending money on accommodation, food, music festival tickets and general living expenses - but I am. Have I mentioned how poor I am this month?? Besides PEELalia coming up in April, I'm just going to be saving for the winter ski season coming up. Wahoo!!!! Looking good! Make sure you get that frog sexed before you add any more, they can fight like buggers if you put the wrong gender in with an established one. I would give it a couple of months before you add anything else, the food and waste should be plenty to start it cycling off. You won't have to wait as long as with a marine aquarium at least [This message has been edited by Sil (edited 03-06-2008).]

Sil: Thanks!Annoyingly, went to turn on the tank lights one morning last weekend and they aren't working anymore. At the same time, I noticed that a lot of condensation had formed on the inside of the little feeding lid thing, which I suspect is related... the condensation itself seems to be a result of the heater running like crazy on really cold nights, as I've only seen it happen one other time. Hypno, Zoid, and Edna seem do be doing fine, though I'm not sure how they'll react if I don't fix the light issue, as they're supposed to get a simulated day/night cycle... so I need to deal with that... meh.

Well none of them are reliant on artificial light, I assume? You can probably just put it near a window (as long as it's not got direct sunlight on it, or you'll get a huge algae bloom) and let them get the light cycle that way. It's not ideal but it's adequate until you can get the lighting sorted out.The most important thing in tanks is the flow - even with a marine tank you can keep it going for several hours with no heater, no filters, no light as long as you keep the water moving; without any ill effects on the fish. You're probably fine for a week or more as long as the water is still flowing as normal. [This message has been edited by Sil (edited 03-06-2008).]

Hi, Zoidberg 227! I admit that I do buy the Costco and Walmart socks for the bumming around the house stuff. I love to hike and go on horse treks, though, so I spring for the Thorlos for when I do the outdoor stuff. They are expensive (SmartWool and all) but they last a long time. I just got a hole in my heel of a pair of Thorlos I purchased 8 years ago. They are great for outdoor stuff because they last a long time, they keep you warm in the cold weather and cool in the hot weather, they are lightweight. I can easily wash and dry them on the trail on overnight trips- just wash them out with biodegradable soap in a stream and hang them out to dry on the camp clothes line and they are ready to be packed away in my pack the next morning. I even have used them for some smart casual dress events because they look very sharp as well with business clothes. Considering how long they have lasted me, they are a great investment.

Cool But flight attendants are seen as the high ranking ones ! WTF In the UK it is seen as a real blonde bimbos job or as you guys in the states call them Ditzy chicks and or gay men, but i guess people used to say that about us male nurses! By the way multiple posts are frowned on by the mods here due to limitations in server space, etc. the threads are in fact limited to 20 pages because the system used to crash frequently when they went over that! Edit: hmm, I should be specific. Kilts are typically associated with Scotland, but they're from all the Celtic isles. And, that's an Irish tartan anyway.
