I swore to myself that this title would be used, and used it shall be. Wait...is that a sentence?

Also, the term "test" must be used in the title.

I think "test"s gotta be in it, otherwise really new people won't be able to find the "test thread" because it won't show up in searches  ;)

Well, there have been three or four "winna" threads and a "zest" thread already, and I didn't hear anyone complaining.  Gocad might have, but he was gone for like six months.  And while I hesitate to refer to anyone as a n00b...

The title doesn't mean anything to me. I don't even get it, so I guess I don't care...
I don't know if I will have any sympathy for people who can't find the test thread. Most noobs who post in the offtopic board at all will make a new thread for the measliest things anyway, and the ones who don't are the rare ones who have actually read a few of the threads and can figure out how the structure and tone is in here...

and by the way you know what sucks? Jane Kaczmarek of Malcolm in the Middle (the mom) gets nominated every year for an Emmy (lead actress in comedy series) and always gets shown up by someone else. This year it'll be a Desperate Housewife, most likely Teri Hatcher. For once I'd like to see Jane win...

I hate it when test threads use the same titles, It's like seeing movie of what you think is a original romantic comedy but it's just a crappy sequal with the same plot as the last slightly patched up and starring Vin Diesel.

Anyway, I think it's a really clever. Unlike most of the other test threads, it's a play on a well-known phrase/title/etc. You know, like Futurama episode's titles? Oh, and Pikka... Now is the winter of our discontent. Shakespeare.

Really new people don't need to understand the test thread if it shows up in a search. I highly doubt anyone will join Peel and go to the search page thinking "Hm..I wonder if they came up with a tradition of something along the lines of a 'test thread'..."

Also, we'll explain it if they ask. Providing they trust us when we tell them what the test thread is used for.... :rolleyes:

What is wrong with you!  Seriously!  If you want to be "accepted" by people here, why cant you just go along with the way they do them?

You wouldnt be so annoying if every post you made didnt have this huge "holier than thou" attitude.  Give it a rest Dan.  They will use the test thread as they please.  No on cares what you think about it, so bug off already.

Ok Dan, here's a bit of Peel history for you:
Test threads were banned. Yes, it was decided that test threads were to be no more. However, hojew brought it back under the guise of a "Zest Thread". So this isn't a test thread. It's a zest thread. There are no written rules about zest threads. So drop it.
