Sorry Bush, STEAM done fucked up on me and messes with my drive now so I had to remove it.
I'll install it this October and see if things have improved a little.

There are references in kotor2 to characters from the original..and 1 major character in kotor2 was in kotor1. the first is about revan and malak..you hear their story througout the game..you dont need to play the first to understand the second though. Although I doubt you'll understand the major character featured in both games unless you play the first one...it isn't made obvious. I won't say anymore about the games though

You should really play KOTOR 1, and then replay KOTOR 2. Things suddenly make more sense, Like Korriban.

Thanks for telling me. Game Trader didn't have the first one for hire so I had to hire the second one. I still haven't gotten away from the Peragus, but I have gone through the fuel lines, so I must be close. Go to www.megagames.com at the monment they have a link to download a trailer to download for the Doom movie. I'm not if this has been said allready

There's a Doom movie trailer at gametrailers.com, it's from a handheld though. There's also a Battle For Middle Earth II trailer!! OMFGorcs!! Edit: I also see Spiders (and Scorpion type things), a Dragon, Dwarves, Black Riders, The Gaurdian of the Moria Gate, Corsair ships, Rivendell and slightly improved graphics.

Aye, but I'm still getting pwned on it. The secondary function on those clone rifles is perhaps a tad too nasty (especially against Jedi/Sith) and if I get force-pushed and then instantly impaled again, I'm going to be...well rather annoyed.
Mandalorians are pretty nice though, that jetpack of their's is great fun.
Also I've recently started playing Mario Tennis on the N64, and it's just as good as I remembered it being. Playing on intense difficulty really does grind your right thumb down (although whether that's a good or bad thing, I'm not too sure).

I read the artilce to mean that the $299 version can't play old games, while the $399 version can. Am I wrong here? The 360 gets two spins: the $299 non-backwards compatible "Core System" and the $399 package with 20GB HD, controller, headset, HD cables, and remote control. If that's correct, I'd buy the more expensive one, since it would mean I would be able to keep playing all my old games, without keeping the old system around. That is if I had an Xbox, or ever will.

X-box is so much better than the PS2... I had them both. Even more, I had PS2 when it was still "hot" and advanced, and I just bought X-box (yes, I know the X-box 360 is coming out in a few months, but it still comes out after semester break, and I am in dire need of entertainment). Still, X-box kicks ass even on today's standards.

Let's face it, wasn't it Microsoft themselves who said that they weren't making any money off this generation, but they were using it as an 'investment' so that their second gen could make money? Microsoft is rushing into this generation becuase they can't possibly deal with losing money.
Look at the PS2. The PS3 has radically better graphics. Look at the GameCube. The Revolution will, supposedly, have a radically different control scheme for more fun gameplay. What does the 360 have? Nothing. I've looked at screenshots and it's barely any better than RE4 on the GameCube. The Xbox can already handle graphics on par with RE4, so why does Microsoft need to charge us $400 for a system with almost NO improvement? That's where you're wrong. The thing changing here (even if it's not as drastic as the PS2-->PS3 graphics) is the online functionality with Xbox Live. Again with this they're making 2 versions and again the worse one is shit, enabling you to do everything but play games. Yes, I'm serious. Fortunately, they made up for this by enhancing the online features enough to be worth typing this post. (Don't know if anyone's said this) but game developers will now have to make games that don't take adventage of the $399 system because they want to make games for everyone, including the fucktards that bought the cheaper one.

Am I the only one who fears the whole next gen upgrade? I mean, Sony & Microsoft will lose money from selling the systems - meaning they'll have to sell more games. Next gen. looks amazing, meaning it would take a fuckload of money to make a game... So we need to do alot of very expensive games at very reasonable prices... all of that equals us, stuck with only sequels to successful titles (GTA, NFS, FIFA, Madden) and games based on movies... This is the end of independant gaming industry, or one that can compete the "big boys" anyway. This is turning more and more like the movie industry.
On a totally different note, I've just finished playing DESTROY ALL HUMANS!, which was a pretty fun experience... although it was extremely short (I started playing it today and I didn't spend most of my day in front of the TV). Also, you're basically doing the same thing over and over again. On the plus side its GTA with a Havok engine and telekenisis. I especially liked picking up trucks and hurl them into billboards and buildings... can't have enough of that, no sir!

Battlefield 1942 has better Mods out at the moment, but Battlefield 2 has a better Engine and once the mods from 1942 import over.
Mmm, tasty. But if your computer can't handle BF2, go for 1942.
