Seeing as how so may never bother to use the search button, maybe they just can't see it up there at the top of the page.
Maybe they'll find it easier if it has its own thread.

But to find this thread, they'll have to use the 'search' feature...

Haha! Nice idea  ;)

Some PEEL search tips:
Make sure you select "Search Titles Only", often searching whole threads is slow and never brings up anything useful.
Search for various spellings of the term you're trying to find (Optimism, optimistic, etc.)
Try using Google search with "site:http://www.peelified.com"

Maybe people could post their possible thread topics here and others could search the topic for them. Might be easier for those suffering from FSD (Futurama Search Disfunction).  :p

This thread is going to disappear relatively fast... in fact it might as well be "the test thread again" since we don't have stickies on our board... nice idea implemented WORNG!!@1

If it does manage to stay open, whoever makes the top of the next page should be required to re-link to the search button.

I also started this thread in General Disscussion and It's Got  TV.

Search isn't good enough. I want to be able to search by username, date, etc.

The ability to narrow search parameters would be useful.
Also, results always come up with the oldest posts listed first. That needs to be changed if possible.

I asked for the search order to be reversed quite a long time ago already in the wish void. These were ignored so far        :hmpf:.

The Search button isn't that handy to use when I wanted to link to whole search results. For that I use this url, which I edit to the things I need:

http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/search2.cgi?action=simplesearch&Skip=++&SearchTerms=++&SearchUser=&ForumChoice=+ +&SearchIn=SUBJECT&SearchDate=+++&ExactName=&BooleanAND=YES
(link doesn't work)

Skip = number of threads to skip
SearchTerms = words you search for
SearchUser = user the post was made by (leave blank)
ForumChoice = forum to search in :

1 General Disscussion
3 Re/Weird Scene
4 Fan art
7 Web site
10 Info booth
11 human resource
12 Offtopic
13 wish void
14 TV
15 Stock room

SearchIn = SUBEJCT / ALL (all means posts, subject only the names)
SearchDate = maximum age of the threads in days
BooleanAND = YES / NO (should all words be in one post)
