It must be a hoax if France is the only country that has taken an interest in this baby.  Shit I want one.

I'm confused, is it claiming to actually make walls transparent, or sense what's on the other side and project a replica onto the surface?

Either way, i'm not believing it until i see it.

France is, of course, noted for their leading edge military technology.

Oh how proud I am that this nutter is a fellow Canuck.  It's too cold here - makes the brain think it can see through walls and stuff.

Yeah that's a good question.  If they can take a picture of the machine, why can't they take a picture of the machine in action?

I hope it's a hoax.  Something like that could make a very dangerous weapon in the wrong hands.

Apparently he dismantled it, so thier excuse is probably that it was unusable during the photo shoot.

Isn't that the same moron that spent thousands of dollars developing a cumbersom bear-proof suit that had no practical purpose whatsoever?

Like the French?
I'm kidding!

Seriously, though, I'm sure it's a hoax.  I seriously doubt that ANYONE who isn't a terrorist would have enough conscience to destroy something like this beyond repair.  At least I really hope.

I can always hope it's real.  But chances are it isn't, ok so this guy just happens to make a machine this complex, by himself, from idea's he got out of dreams.  Even more awkward is that he didn't write anything down they say.  Well as far as I understand it's pretty hard to remember a dream after a few hours so I dub this machine

The bear suit is in the background of one of the pictures.... I can't honestly think that it's real.  But actually... most scientific discoveries don't actually become newsworthy... you hear about them later or something, not right when they happen.

Wow, he invented this in his dreams.  That's Lionel Ritchie power in action right there.

My favorite part is its ability to detect stealth technology.  They take an 8" piece of "radar-resistant stealth technology" from a Comanche helicopter and stick it to a car and detect it with a radar gun.  That doesn't proove shit.  Was the car only 8" long?  The radar is going to bounce off any exposed area on the car.  If they stuck it to a small remote control car, I fail to see how they would drive it without some clearance of the panel from the ground.  Even minimal clearance would give plenty of area for a radar reflection.

The other issue is that the panel itself doesn't constitute stealth.  The materials used on stealth aircraft are "radar resistant" or more correctly, radar absorbing.  They are by no means 100% absorbing.  These materials have to be combined with fancy geometry to minimize radar return to a source.  Just slapping a piece on a car doesn't give it stealth properties.  On a final note, I doubt the military is in the business of giving out samples of their stealth materials.  These things are guarded technological secrets, not something MIT professors can give out to cranks.

What a poorly written, shitty article.  His invention should be able to pop popcorn since it does everything else.  There's nothing in this story that would make me believe this guy in the least.

No it doesn't! Imagine all the extra time you'd get!  :)
