Poor 'slatey. (Nyah nyah nyah nyah nyah ) I hate French. I really can't wait until I can give it up and forget it all. I'm not rubbish, but I really can't be bothered with all the verbs and endings and accents. It would be a lot better if French was exactly the same as English! EDIT: Two school threads! What a catastrophy!

You can like computers, but if you want to study anything computer related it always has lots of maths. Which sucks. I think I'm a left brainer. That means languages rather than maths.

Alenacat: Oh yes. Grummio did get around a bit didn't he! He was just something else. I remember in my first lesson my teacher stood on the desk and did an impression of Cerbarus stealing cakes or something. Incidentally it is my sister's last ever Latin lesson tomorrow. She starts study leave on the 28th and isn't doing Latin for A level. So, because it is their last ever lesson, she is forcing me to make muffins. (for which I am world renowned )

Originally posted by termos: Danish is, of course, the best language. Hope I didn't offend anyone... After reading the Babblefish thread, I would actually like to learn Danish myself. I like the o's with the slashes through them(my American keyboard can't do it) and what else I've seen from the language. Of course, I'll always love English no matter what else I learn. I have an uncle who's actually way into math and he used to tutor math to prisoners. Sounds cool, eh? Well, maybe not to the people in jail. But he is also fond of upper level math such as Calculus, Functions and Analysis, etc. So you're not necessarily weird. Not alone anyway. As for me, I'm taking trigonometry right now. I got a 60 on one of my quizzes, and I think that was higher than my other three quiz grades combined. I've really given up on that class.

Tommorow I have a physics/chemistry/genetics/geology final. Its all cobbled together into a huge 300-question test and I only get one hour. Wednesday I have the math finals with the roots of quadratics (also needed to be taken in one hour). That's 250 questions. Finally, on Thursday, I have the Reading/Language test over 4 books, a few of Shakespeare's plays, and a bunch of complex grammar I'll never use (yet again taken in one hour). This one is around 275 problems. Guess what grade I'm in!

Yeah, nowadays school seemed like such an easy lifestyle. I often find myself thinking how cool it would be if I could go back.

I agree, college is too like the real world for me, I liked when the only thing to be worried about was being hit by a piece of fruit during "The Wars" at lunchtime. And there were also no darn women cramping your style (all guys school)! I could also have laughed at all those teachers who said anything was really important.

Same as, if only to actually learn something the second time round. Archie, its not to bad, I had quite a laugh and as for bullies, smack 'em up with a chair or something.

I wouldn't know where to start really, since I don't know a word of your language. I could go in any direction. Today in my com class(video), we got this project called In Your Eyes where it's basically a first person view through the camera, so I was with my buddy, and I took the camera and did "A day in the life of a kid who won't stop bugging Alex"(very Onionesque topic), and I was holding the camera pestering him as much as possible and he did things like shove me, push me in the elevator, etc...it was plenty fun. Also, in British Lit, we had to read these "I am from" style poems we wrote, and I was pissed off because everyone's poem just seemed like a long list of stuff(I at least made a creative attempt at this here) and my friend sitting next to me was like "That's the point" and then when I persisted he goes "You're a strange kid Mike" so I wrote a poem to the tune of "Fuck you Curtis, I hate you, lick my balls, eat my shit" and showed it to him. He thought it was funny.

Haha! I was thinking more along the lines of: "Gimme some money or I'll spork your eyes out!" In Spain I learned a few expressions that I needed while on the road but I was only there for 2 weeks and I think I'm a righty brainer so I forgot everything on the plane home... Hurray!
