Whatever it is, it's not American but German. Look at the sign on the side of the tank.

And since it's German, I doubt it's anything too high-tech, as the German army can't even afford NATO-standard radio equipment.

I only see a red x here, maybe hotlinking failure, the url itself works:
Probably was only the server too slow.

Oh. My. Fuck:

This is not some Something Awful photoshop job. What you are looking at is an actual screenshot from the re-edited ending of ROTJ to appear in the Star Wars DVD set.

Goddamn you, George Lucas! Just when I thought you were done raping the franchise, you go and rape it some more!

Argh! If they really changed that, then Lucas really has become a fucking wad(Let's face it, he already was a wiener as it is. What with the CGI Jabba antics, and dancers). I did notice that there are 2 different boxes for the DVD sets (four if you count the fullscreen ones). Is it possible that two sets are being realesed? One which has the new updates, and one which has the orginal versions of the films?

*Edit* N/M I found an explaination. It's still pretty shitty that their doing it, but it is an explaination none the less

Oh gods no! Armaggedon has begun! The four horsemen have arrived! Cats and dogs are living together, its madness people!

Seriously though, George Lucas is dead and has been replaced by a robot. That is the only possible explination.

You'll have to come up with a better explanation than that.  The cold, logical mind of a robot would realize more sales would be made if both the original and the hacked version were released.

That picture has not been confirmed as genuine, just like the picture of Ian McDiarmid in The Empire Strikes Back.

I feel sorry for the guys who have been edited out of the Star Wars films:
The original human Jabba
The guy who played the original Vader/Skywlker (although he appears at the end of ROTJ, he's only in it half the amount he should be! HALF!!)
Stormtrooper #432

The list is endless...

Action Jacktion: I wouldn't be surprised if that Ian McDiarmid one is confirmed, they got him in to do ADR  for the DVDs I think, I read that somewhere so they might even digitally splice him in.

I always had the impression that the "human" jabba has always been a stand-in.

btw, the CGI Jabba has been replaced as well...with the version from Episode I (which is actually a good thing)

Still though, he can't exactly impress his grandchildren:

"I was in the original Star Wars film!!"
"...... no you weren't you lying old git!!"
"No no no, check the Special Features disc, I'll be on that!"

Although I read newhooks spoiler, I think it would make more sense if he appeared the same way as in ROTJ, after all Obi Wan appeared the same as when he died!

how do you know that Alec Guiness has not been replaced with Ewan McGregor?

that would make "Greedo shot first" look like a minor glitch...

Perhaps Yoda will regain the essence of youth too and we'll see him with a mullet or something?

Seriously though, there's been all sorts of rumours flying around, like Stormtroopers being redubbed to sound like Clone Troopers, Naboo fighters taking part in the Battle of Yavin, and Jar Jar, but many people still think it's all crap.

...A lot more people will think it's all crap if it all turns out to be true though... :hmpf:

I love how this has turned into a Star Wars debate... We all agree that having Hayden there instead of Sebastian Shaw is 100% wrong if it is indeed true that they are doing this. And Zef- those rumors had better turn out to be false.

I just hope they'll edit out the uglies of the original SE. Especailly the clay-ish looking brown alkien with the creepy eyes from the Mos Eisley cantina.

Gocad: I believe it is beyinf all doubt that human Jabba was just a standin to give Harrison some reference points.

Kyle: Yeah, well, sometimes the things we do don't matter now. They matter later. We have to think about later sometimes you know? That's what seperates us from the Steven Speilbergs and George Lucas' of the world.
