Sorry for double posting, but I need your attention and thoughts on this:

I'm about to break some rules!

My first animated avatar:


Checklist
  • They must be a .gif

Checked
  • They must be 64x64 pixels in size

64x64 checked
  • They must be transparent

checked
  • Should be no greater then 3.4KB

2,41 kb - checked
  • Should be scanned, no cutting out from framegrabs

checked
  • Should be of a decent quality, bad avatars will not be uploaded

I think it is - checked
  • Should face the right

jupp - checked

So, what do you think?
If it is allowed I would change my mind and take this as my custom.

Maybe it's not in the PEELers' FAQ, but no animation is allowed in avatars. Sorry!

Seriously now: it is forbidden - at least to my knowledge - to have animated avatars.
I guess there is some reason why it is not allowed.

PEEL classic and the "Fry-Cool vlr" avatar had a good long running between me and Archie2k i think. By long running i mean number of posts and not length of time.

This avy should have become my 100th. There are 98 on my list now, the 99th is ready whenever I'm bored.

Now back ontopic:

It can't be the bandwidth, that this isn't allowed. This avy is even smaller than 70% of the avys in the pool.
I didn't find any entry, either in the Peeler's faq, in the offical faq, or in the rules-thread.

But if it isn't allowed I will make it into a new sig for me, since my old is in use by another Peeler by now.

btw: aslate, can you add it to the Peeler's faq that animated avatars aren't allowed? Or can any mod / admin add it to the Peel-faq
Maybe this will dry my tears    :cry:

Added it to the PEELers' FAQ, you can't have an animated avatar.

The reason is because they're often distracting and annoying.
