Radiowires, DogDoo8, those are really good.

The Toranga zoo picture would make a great double monitor/widescreen wallpaper.

Wow this thread is still around.

Well i have had a new art program for a while, yet I have not produced anything with it (well ntothing that I kept). Now however in my semi intoxicated state I believe I will share this image with you.

Now this is kind of a self portrait (produced from memory in about 10 mins) at first I was going to do it in full colour then I dcided a high contrast monochromatic would be less effort.

Fun part of this program is that if anyone else had it they cold watch the event file to see what redicoulous methods go into creating the piece. Also another advantage to the program over photoshop is that the brush act like paint and you can rotate the canvas (which makes things so much easier). As such I highly recomend Open canvas to those arty people here.

It's Taronga. And that picture was cool... looks like mountain goats live next to the harbour bridge. Crazy, crazy Australia.

Very nice, Faze. *pats on head*

Those crazy-cool Slovenes responsible for MEMEFEST have just overseen the opening of their exhibition of a selection of works from the past three years of the competition in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

There is a PDF catalogue that is well worth downloading and checking out. It gives you a great taste of what the festival is all about and such.

(I must say I'm a fan of page 40, myself...)

Is that traditional or digital collage.  It looks traditional.  I'm assuming traditional from the seam at the top.

Ok, heres a picture i took a couple of days ago after 2 days of rain down in the bush.

I had to make it a bit smaller as it was around A3 size, so now its 15x8cm.

Well, I did it.  I did it and I'm bad.  I bumped a thread.  I'm a bad, bad Mango.  Bad:cry:

I drawed a picture.  I really did.  And here it is.  I did it all by myself.  I did.  Really!  Yay.

You should be proud of me.  Please, please be proud of me.  Okay?

Also I drawed a comic on a piece of paper.  I was wondering about why it is that no matter how much I insult Local Jerseyan, she never never never gets provoked.  It makes me sad.  So I said "I'm going to draw a picture about it." And for practice I drawed stick figures.  Then I laughed at the stick figures and said, "I look like teh Happy Noodle Boy only less hairy."  And then I said, "I'm going to draw me like Happy Noodle Boy only less hairy." And I did.  Then I said, "But in 'Happy Noodle Boy' the other peoples aren't made of sticks."  So I drawed everybody else all normal.  As in Mango-esque normal 'cause my pictures don't look nothing like the way the scary-Mexican-trench-coat-man draws it, but I'm not Mexican.  And I don't wear a trench coat.  And I'm not a man.  Scary, maybe, but not a man.  Not the last time I checked.  In retrospect, I erased too much stuff and it made my hand hurt.  And it got all smudgy, too.  It looks smudgy, huh?  I'm stalling.  I'm stalling so it takes longer before you laugh at how bad I drawed and how not funny my drawing is.  If you say mean stuff I'll cry.  Okay I'm done stalling here it is yay.

...okay I'm done.  You're not gonna ban me for bumping the thread, right?  Are you gonna lock the thread?  Because Velour locked that other girl's threads and the girl got all mad 'cause she was in trouble and if I got in trouble with Velour I would cry and cry and cry till I was dehydrated, and then I would drink a lot of water and cry some more.

DogDoo: I know this reply is more than a month late, but that's a damn good shot.  What shutter speed did you use?  I'm guessing 1/100th of a second ... maybe slower.  Also, film or digital?

Finally, I have a whole two shots of mine that actually got scanned onto CD and didn't get screwed up by the lab I go to, but it seems imageshack is fux0red, so not tonight.

Yay, imageshack is working again, and I have those two photos I promised.  Film, Kodak TMAX, probably ISO 400, retouched in Photoshop to repair scratches, etc.  Mt. Stewart was slightly burned in on the first one to pull out some of the details.

:laff: For the record, this constituted my first real laugh of the day.

Though, I must say, the comic was pretty funny for the following reasons:
1) Who can't laugh at a mock-up of Happy Noodle Boy?
2) For no reason relevent to the comic, Mango drew Joysauce in that legs behind the head position from the picture that was posted.  This seems quite amusing when you have a hangover and a paper due at one that you haven't started.
