On Saturday, my brother was in a car crash and was taken to Kingston hospital.  The Cat Scan reevealed he was mostly brain dead and doctors held little hope of him pulling through.  Nuerosurgeans tried operating, but there was no change.  We took him off the machines at 10:00 pm Saturday night.  it is the worst thing in the world to wait around in a hospital in a town you don't know while you wait for your brother to die.  He passed away today at 6:37 pm.  If you could all pray to God or whatever higher power you believe in, I'd appreciate it.  Sorry to bring you all down like this, but I needed to vent.  I miss my little brother.

Man that's rough. Reading your post reminds me of a few people I knew back in my freshmen year of high school. Two years later I was going to a different high school, and one of my friends came up to me. He handed me an article from a newspaper, and told me to read it. As I was walking to class, and reading it I noticed the pictures of 4 guys that went to my high school 2 years ago. Apparently all of them had died the day before in a accident while on their way back from the East Coast of Florida. ( I later found it they had gone to the East Coast for surfing ) When things like this happen, it makes you realize how precious and short life really is. I am really sorry to hear about your loss. I wish the best for you, and anyone else who was close to your brother. I also wish the best for the departed, may he find eternal bliss in the after life.

I won't plug my faith, out of respect for the deseaced.  I must say this, however.

With the holidays approaching, your greif will be very great, and greatly increased.  Also, your faith in whatever you believe in, god, gods or nihlity is going to be brashly tested.  Whatever the outcome, be tough enough to pull through.

I pray your brother rests in peace everlasting.

Damn. Sorry man. I know exactly how that is--waiting around a scary hospital waiting for someone to die sucks. And then you have to listen to doctors give out the horrible gruesome medical details, while other people keep asking you shit like "are you ok?" when you just want to sit alone somewhere and not talk to people.

It's a hard experience to recover from. I wish you and your family the best.

In death you find,
the story's conclusion.
A film well told,
but marred with confusion.

Remember his name,
and keep his soul.
Cherrish his memory,
to forge him in gold.

I impart to you,
my heart felt sorrow.
Be sad to today,
but smile tomorrow.

Keep the faith,
and try to be strong,
as long as you are,
his spirit lives on.

I'm sorry I'm not a poet man, I really suck at poetry. I wish words could express my sorrow. Stay strong, and know that you have the support of everyone here at PEEL.

A poem for Cameron Jordan Bond. I did wrote it this morning.

About a Bird

Somewhere, somewhere where-ever,
a bird spreads its wings and
with the soft touch of of an un-named wind
the bird begins to fly.
Still young in life, born on a yester-day,
the bird is flying high,
higher and higher.
Clouds made of sunshine, rain made from rainbows and a colorful sun are watching
the young bird flying.
There upon our old world the bird
meets other birds, more of them as that someone could say how much there are.
A human's eye is not made to see the birds,
but when you close your eye and open your mind
you can see the young bird flying above the clouds
together with other birds
along an endless rainbow ...
... in peace.

Boingo, there's nothing I can say or post that will make you feel better, and I'm sorry for that.  I won't tell you to be strong or to look for the bright side.  Be whatever you need to be to get through this.  Only you know what that is.

I won't lie to you, this will hurt for a long time, so don't expect to just get over it in a week.  Take your time, Boingo, greiving is a slow but copletely natural process.  You're going to be sad, but you're not going to be sad forever.

I know what it feels to lose a person,
I lost my mother, father and my aunt.
But all those experiences are foe some reason, they have made me harder and resistant to other common problems.
But I know how you feel, I know that remembering your brother smiling is sad, or thinking about how more you could love him before he died.
I cannot express a lot through internet,though I wrote a song.

        Straigh to light
In a whisper of sorrow my name travels far
I see beyond life, I see pain in your eyes
not far from the ocean, not far from heaven
I can touch the clouds, you canīt touch me
Time passed me on forever, and you are still forgeting me, I'm not mad at you, I am here
Behind you, why I had to go that way.
Thoughts in dreams you cannot delay
So bring me to your mouth and say my name out loud.

Sorry to hear about this. Even sorry that as an electronic message, the condolences won't mean as much, but hopefully it will bring some comfort. Loss is different for everyone. We can be familiar with it, but I'm afraid no one but you will know how you feel. Good luck. I wish you the best in hard times

Woah Boingo, reading your post sent shivers through my soul. I know a good deal about things like this, although I haven't had it happening to someone in my nuclear family. June 1st 2000 my aunt died in a car crash and at the same occasion my uncle was severely injured. My two cousins were too, but they got better quickly, although one of them still had some disfiguration in her face. My uncle was in intensive care until he died on the october 10th 2000. All the while he was in a respirator and most more than half of the time he was unconscious. I won't go into further detail, but as you might understand, it was painful. And the worst parts are that I was away when my uncle finally gave up, and also, there is absolutely noone to blame, because the counterpart too was without any guilt. I have had quite a number of smaller breakdowns where I've just cried so hard that I had to lie down right on the floor. And still, it hurts a great deal. I can tell you without any doubt that you will not get over it. But as you probalby know deep down, it will be easier to deal with as time goes by, although it does not seem that way right now. But remember it.
How can it be that this sort of tragedy only falls upon those who don't diserve it?
