I've used German IE for some time in 1997. It was fun, I still remember some words like Datei, Hilfe, Zuruck, Weiter and of course Abbrechen  :)

While we are talking about Umlaute, we should not forget the ß.
I still have to go on warning that some weird people are about to "kill" this rare, but lovable letter.
Here some text (in German) about the ß (Eszett) and its slow disappearing:

Aw yeah, good old Abbrechen. Along with Beenden, the integral word while working with IE.

OS/2 ?

Mac OS < X ?

Just kidding, I assume you mean Windows something, the crappiest being Windows Me.

I set all my OSs up to use English because I really hate the Danish translations.

No they're not that bad all the time, but some are. They just seem unnatural.

Totally unrelated but still on topic:
Once at a lecture our lecturer came back from the break between the two halves of the lecture. He started speaking English and no one knew why. After five minutes or so, he suddenly stopped and said: "Hey, I'm speaking English!" (he said that in Danish). He then proceeded in Danish.
Weird.

bender n. 1. A big drinking session. 2. Be careful, because this word is also a rather derogatory term for a homosexual.

:nono:

Funny fact: I never had that problem with my stone-age-old Windows version ... while most of this new Win 2000 / NT / Me etc. "things" seem to work like "error-message-magnets".

It should speak french, if anything at all!
