Thanks, Bruce.

Anyway, here's a few dates to throw around: 13th, 14th, 20th, 21th (all December). These are possible dates for me... I dunno about everyone else though.

Wow, our own thread... i should feel special, but funnily enough, i don't...

I'm all good for just about any date you can set up, just so long as I can muster bearings to drive in Melbourne :shudder:
Especially Melbourne on a Friday/Saturday night... :shudder:
But then again I get to show of my car and stereo to about 300 people per minute...
I'm in!

Just make sure we have a relativly certain date reasonably soon...

Alex's link didnt work in the TV Aussie Thread. Meh.

I could make it down, but it would cost a whole 'lotta moola (Fly from Cairns). I'll try though. Yeah, try to get a specific date within the next few days.

Heheh, Melbourne on a Friday night and us nerds? Hah, interesting.

Who are these people? I'd go if there were some proper PEELers attending, and it was in Sydney, and they weren't all high school kids.

Wait, no I wouldn't.

Ah fuck. I'm swimming on the 13th and 14th. 20th and 21st are close to Christmas, so that could be a problem for some people...

Fuck.

I'm gonna talk to my folks about it as soon as we have a fixed date (because I'll be pinching the creditcard and booking a bus shortly after)... so yeah..

As for Alex's swimming, we could always meet on the Friday before (12.12.03) and then we go down the aquatic center or whatever and watch you swim your brains out :-P  This week is the second to last week of school for me, and then theres a week of exams after that, so I think i finish on the 21.11.03 or something.

Just give me a date and I'll see if I could go, January would be better for me, but meh

Might make a road trip of it, 1300km in 3 days sounds reasonable

December is not the best month for me, with work and Christmas and all (and my birthday....!)
January would be better for me as well....

Also apart from my brother, nobody else knows I'm a PEEler....I can imagine the look on my Mother's face now....

"Mum I'm going to Melbourne for a few days to meet up with a group of people who are huge Futurama fans like me"

Mum:  :nono:   :nono:

I don't live at home so I can do what I want, but it was bad enough trying to convince her I would be ok last year when I went to Brisbane to meet another friend from the net....

January is pretty much impossible for me. If not December, next option for me would be like late April. Because there aren't that many of us, it would be a shame if one of us couldn't go.

I don't think my mum would want me going out the night before a swimming competition.

With the cost of flying across the country to meet up with fellow nerds and the whole idea of it, Alex and Co. will have to go without yours truly (Though it looks like it wont happen anyways :p)

Yeah, even though i'm fine for just about any date, i would prefer it being in 2004 sometime, i'll be looking for a new job soon, that might be taking a fair bit of my time until i get started/settled in, etc.

Unless we have Aussie AGI 1.0pre1 in December or Janurary, and Aussie AGI 1.0 in April... both in Melbourne...

Mikey was already taking about AAGI 2 in Adelaide.. but though would be at the end of 2004 or early 2005 I think... :)  As I said 'We haven't even planned AAGI 1 and we're already planning AAGI2...'

Sure mikey.

Mic: You will have to work it out with the others. I'm not sure. But if Robiben can shift us around in his car, all will be better. And if he can pick me up from my house. And if I tell my parents I'm going out with school friends. And if they believe me.

If your AGI thing doesnt work out for the 20th Dec. - Should try for the March one. If school/uni is the problem, only a few days off with the weekend, couldnt be hardly a hassle.

Australian AGI
20th December 2003

People coming:
Robiben
Myself (95% sure)
Mic (Bus from Adelaide)
Rage Dump

We'll go to the city, and then decide what to do after that. I have to be home not too late. I think it should start some time in the middle of the day, early afternoon.

Grim; can you still make it?
Anyone else?

20th hey?

Exactly where am i going to be meeting you?
Keep in mind that i've never been to Melbourne on my lonesome, and i think it's hard enough driving in Bendigo...
Also i suck at this kind of thing.

Basically i'm saying that i'm going to want some pretty damn good directions/maps that kind of stuff, or an incredibly easy place to find to meet someone, and i don't want to drive anywhere harsh, living in a shitty town like Ararat makes it very hard to get some half decent driving experience, especially since i've only been on my P's for under two months...

One more complication, my current place of employment closes for Xmas and it's surrounding weeks, i'm spending my last $30 on a trip to Bendigo this Tuesday, to see my rel's. I'm sure i could get some more from somewhere, but still, it's a factor.

At the moment, i would put me down for a 15% chance at most, i really need more time to get ready for something like this.
Still, take care of directions and that for me, and i'll still be a good chance.
