Let's talk about the 80s:

My Little Pony  They where so cute. I had collected several of them.

David Hasselhoff - Looking for Freedom He was great  :) and a gentleman. ... untill he started with Baywatch ...

Visage - We fade to Grey *points at topic*

So go, take a paintbrush and write at the Berlin Wall what you remember about the good (?) old 80s.

....Lets Not!!!

Wasnt that one of those things that People are now forced to sign contracts promising that they'll never speak of it again when they renew their Car registration?

Dont make me denounce you to the memory police.

The 80's fucking sucked. They were boring.
There were some evil crackhead politicians, like Reagan and Thatcher. Communism wasn't dead yet.

That's just about sums up the way I feel about them too. There are certain aspects of it that I do like, but very few. And they're by far outnumbered by what sucked. But I respect that some people may like them, good for them, but it just doesn't float my boat.

All I remember of those seven years is getting to play with toys, hating first grade, and hearing my dad screaming at the TV about what the Reganites were doing.  (I get my leftastic rage from somewhere.  ;))

I dont remember much about the 80's. I was born in that decade and thats about it for me really. I liked Madonna's music in the 80's though. I remember listening to it with my dad when I was little, and Material Girl used to be my fave song back then. Apart from that I cant really remember anything else about it  :)

Spitting Image, the satirical UK TV show that used caricature puppets to take the piss out of people in the public eye. Not a good time to be a politician, with those guys around. And then they recorded the Chicken song...  :evillaugh:   :nono:

I try not to remember the 80's, except for fantasy movies, Vice City, and that which spawned the early 90's culture.

The early 80's were cool - then it all got weird.
And then I was born mid way through.

Graffit at the Berlin Wall (I saw in a book once)...
"Warning, East German Olympic Pole-Vaulters' Training Area" - or something like that.  ;)

80's were cool, though probably the worst out of 70's and ..., no, I was about to say 90's as well, but there is very very little I have to say about the 90's. 80's had better TV in many places just for one.

The 80's had new wave, and transformers, and the birth of Mario, and metal acts who could play frighteningly well... though there was a good deal of trash mixed in with that too! And Live Aid.

Did you know Eastenders was screene for the first time 6 days before I was born?

Then there was the whole Kylie Jason wedding in neighbours. And when MTV was any good.

Apparently the video for Thriller by Michael Jackson first aired the day after I was born  :)

Thundercats, NES, Transformers, Evil Dead, The Garbage Pail Kids, 80's MAD (each decade of MAD magazine seems to be done differently), The Golden Girls, Cheers, Return of the Jedi, Gremlins, Indiana Jones, Old school rap (I was the only white guy in my neighborhood who had Run DMC and Grandmaster Flash CDs), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the list goes on.
I have/had a message board about the 80's. I'll post a link to it in the "My Website" thread when I get back on track with it (which should be soon).

this kind of stuff needs to stop. You say you're a troll and i tend to think that's true. If you don't like a thread, you don't need to post in it at all, let alone practically every other post like you've been doing. i'll give you some time to stop and think about it.

OMG, that pink pony moved!

All I remember about the 80's is gettin sucked into the marketing ploy that is the Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Ninja Turtles cartoons. I was only 7 when it became 1990. But I did get my Nintendo back then, and owned two Super Mario T-shirts.

Umm, what?

Did you mean, "Nintendo was fun"? Because that's still true today.
Did you mean, "Nintendo was found"? Because that doesn't make any sense.
Did you mean, "Nintendo was founded"? Because that's just plain wrong. Nintendo got its start in the early 1900's I believe, as a company that made playing cards.

Hm... the only thing I remember was being born in 1989... soooo not much else to remember.

Oh, right, the 1989 earthquake! Man, I slept through that. And I lived about 20 miles from San Francisco at the time.

Um...no he's right. Nintendo started as a gaming company way back at the beginning of the 20th century. I knew someone who claimed they had some old Nintendo cards he got from his grandad. He never actually showed them to me so I assume he was lying.
