I rented "28 Days Later" and bought "Bend it Like Beckham" and "About a Boy"

and I just realized that all 3 of those are British movies... weird.

also I bought some frozen pizzas, donuts and ben and jerry's ice cream (all on sale). Who said anything about me being fat?

A TI-89 Calculator.
 http://education.ti.com/us/product/tech/89/features/features.html

It's TI's calculator for calculus, which is spectacular because I take calculus.

I'll define "Pretty Print."
Where the TI-83 series will do this:
5^5
The TI-89 will actually superscript the second five and remove the carat, so it looks like what you would write on your paper. Also, the 89 will leave in pi, e, variables (that have not been assigned values). It can define and evaluate functions. It has a wonderful "|" button. Yeah, I like it.

I bought some girly hand cream because I have horrid weather induced eczema. It's halping a tiny bit, but I realy need a steroid cream to do the job properly. At least it has soothed the pain a bit though.

I bought a two-night hire of Pro-Evo Soccer 3 for the PS2.  So far it's pretty good.

I bought stuff for the car and for my DJ decks the other day, an oil-filler cap (as I broke the old one) and a phono-jack lead.

I lead such an exciting life.

I want some pizza.

Yesterday I bought a cable splitter for the TV, and a dust cleaner for my turntable.  Now my records aren't so dusty.  Woo hoo.

Let me say this: never buy magazines for your 1911 that were made by military contractors in Argentina.  I know this is a broad, sweeping directive that applies to almost everyone here, but you must take my advice.  The followers and floorplates are utter crap.  Do not be tempted by the low price and ten round capacity, the Argentinians wouldn't know quality polymers if the came up and fucked them in the ear.

However, I'm quite pleased with Chip McCormick tactical magazine release and the barrel bushing wrench.  It's hard to go wrong with a barrel bushing wrench.

The bookshop I work in uses nail varnish remove to clean books, but this can sometimes backfire (it will melt CD cases, and plastic covered books).

Today I took my weekly trip to the seccond hand record man and purchased a bit of a oddity. An 'album' by Faust called "The Faust Tapes" consisting of a selection of tapes of random bits of stuff. It's psycodellic krautrock and it's damn good.... for random noises and wierd german singing.

It also has some rather nifty cover art by Bridget Riley

Everything like that screws up my head, and badly.  There's some kind of a glitch in my brain that prevents it from averaging dense patterns.  It tries to resolve every single component at the same time until it overloads and trips out.

(It really IS unusual.  The first time it became apparent that this was actually a problem was when I was 14 and some grated flooring in the snack bar of the British Museum made me pass out.  :p)

Since that event my brain had implimented some sort of protocol that prevents my eyes from focusing on dense patterns.

If you want to call it pizza.  I always thought the pizza in Canada was crap.  I never found any really good pizza there.  It's odd, because, especially in Toronto, the most multi-cultural city in the world, the rest of the food is so good.

What the hell do you Canadians know about pizza anyway?  There's only one city in the world where you can get a REAL pizza.  All those other cities have tomato soup on a cracker compared to Chicago.
