I live half an hour down the road from one of the most popular seaside resorts in Britain, Blackpool. My grandparents live in Blackpool. It really is a dump now. Once, the beach actually supported life. Once, the Pleasure Beach was an affordable day out. i've been to Britain and it's so different. I like the mountains thou Mountains?!? The only mountains I've ever seen in Britain are the white cliffs of Dover, and this is my home country! Maybe I just don't get out enough

I thinks its great how people say their home sucks and then someone says 'I've been there! I love it there!' It makes you realise that there are people who actually enjoy being where you are, in a place you take for granted.
I've always lived in the countryside so (to use Futurama_Hil's example) horses are nothing new to me. They pass by the front of my parents house every other day. It's not until I moved out to live in the city that I realised what a different lifestyle it is.

*insert Five Iron Frenzy's "Oh, Canada" here* Canada. That's the way it's always gonna be. I know a lot of poeple that moved to the states, for professional reasons but don't like it nearly as much as they did above the 49th parallel. Just like Spice Weasel, I've got the channel that never preempts Futurama ( KCPQ) but will gladly preempt the state of the union address to show thier regualary scheduled programing. And Global is showing it on Saturdays and Sundays.

I can't say I've heard of them - is that a good thing or a bad thing? They look like wholesome clean cut lads... I'm from Bristol, Somerset, famous for it's accent and...er...not much else. From what I can remember from primary school, John Cabot set sail from Bristol and discovered North America (or more specifically Canada) - again, I'm not sure if that's a good or band thing Oh, and Bristol is also home to the world's first suspension bridge (built by Isembard Kingdom Brunel (sp?)), and the SS Great Britain.

LEt me be the first to say Welcome to peel. In zoidbergs words Originally posted by Zoidberg: It's funny, you live in the Universe but you never do these things till someone comes to visit Thats what i say about the city i live in, and thats probably what everyone says about thier city. Its a nice place to live, but i wouldnt want to visit. For those of you that are hip and "With it" Its Cities by which we define ourselves, no longer countries. Just like in the ancient world.
