The movie only shows us little snippets and focuses primarily on the Fry and Leelu relationship obviously. But do you think Fry spent time with Seymoure and his family on a regular basis? I would assume his time spent in the future made him realize how much he truely did love and miss his family, so when given a second chance he'd spend as much time with them as he could. Then again it's possible that when he wasn't with Leelu he was spending his time alone in his apartment above Panucci's brooding over Leela... But I like to think he grew closer to his family, especially Yancy, and was at his wedding and was there when his nephew was born..ect. Yeah this might be thinking too much into things, but as we've seen Futurama is capable of getting pretty "deep".

I want to say "this should be in Human Resources" but I'm not sure if it actually needs to be moved or not.... Nevermind.Considering his nephew's still named after him, I'm going to hazard a guess and say that his brother's logic switched from, "I'm going to honor Philip because I love him and miss him very much." to, "I'm going to honor Philip because I love him and he's an important part of my life." I thought it was clear (IMO) from the flashbacks that Fry was taking advantage of his return to the past by spending more time with his family (less more Seymour, but I can't imagine he wouldn't spend more time with his dog) and doing many of the things he wasn't able to after his initial freezing, but I can also easily see him getting occasionally distracted by his Leela-inspired depression. Jees, Ive really been thinking how much of a full life Lars/Fry2 would have had..
All from 1999, season 1-4, plus BBS up to the point where he went back in time then seeing his family again, making new friends, then coming back to the future where he is basically 'with' leela for a while!

Also in that 12 year period while Fry was bonding with Leelu, it took Bender that long to track down Fry. You would think he would have a tracking device in him. I agree with RogerWilco, that I think Fry spent some times with Seymour and his family as well.
