If it gets renewed for another season, then that's something to keep your fingers crossed for. Leela was partially named after Leela from Doctor Who, so I don't see why not.
I'd like to see a Zapp/Michelle relationship spark. I've speculate that they're made for each other. There wouldn't be much to ship, because it would work perfectly. Zapp Brannigan would continue in his position in DOOP, and Michelle would be a homemaker similar to the wives on "Desperate Housewives".

I agree Michelle is the embodiement of everything in a woman that would drive you to giving her a good slap ! Guys like Zapp I guess are more sad than bad.

Zapp is really really annoying, I still don't think he deserves her, though I can see how it could work in the footballers wives context. It could be funny...

Sorry about the quad post; so many things I wanted to answer, I forgot to just answer them all in one post. Whoops. Xanfor: THM are my initals; and that's all I'll say on that. Towels, sadly, have nothing to do with it, although I do know where mine is; now if only I could find my electronic thumb... Good to see that consensus (of a kind, anyway) has broken out over Leela/Fry. About all we can do is see where the writers take them next. Hopefully, it's somewhere nice. There's some room to manoeuver there - maybe Michelle gets too much, and Zapp bails, and she has to seduce him back to maintain the good life, or he strays and she punishes him. It'd work best as a comedy, 'cause they're both caricatures of a sort; the male chauvanist pig and the fickle shrew. But it'd a blast to read/watch, that's for sure. DH is space - hey, I'd buy that for a dollar.

But at least I have my towel so there's the plus side. It makes me sad along with the other shit that's happened today. I couldn't resist the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy reference you made. I had to respond. There's some room to manoeuver there - maybe Michelle gets too much, and Zapp bails, and she has to seduce him back to maintain the good life, or he strays and she punishes him. I think that we will see a definite advance of their relationship in the next movie. I agree in principal but seeing as how I feel like hell right now I lack the enrgy and drive to respond with a long winded answer. So short version, I sort of argee and I'll explain later. I once encountered a future incarnation of myself, and he was a right bastard.
So I agree that Fry and Lars are the same person.

I have seen all of TOS a few times. For Where No Fan Has Gone Before, it also helps to have seen the six Original Series movies too.

Get well soon, Bendersfan's cousin! Originally posted by bobbot:That being said I still hold that Fry hass anything that Lars did inside him. He isn't Lars, but Lars is him. Not quite. Lars and Fry had different experiences. Lars' epiphany was the realization that, well, he was 'Lars', the One that Leela fell in love with. In my rather twisted view, at least, the greatest obstacle to a potential relationship is the fear of rejection. He knew that all he needed to do was to wait a few years, and Leela would unequivocally be his. On the Kirk/Spock thing, I just love posting the slasher fanporn art. I don't really care one way or another if they get together. Just as long as it annoys some people, right? All of you: Watch every single episode of Star Trek, The Original Series. Aye aye, cap'n! I like to be reminded of days gone by...

So I agree that Fry and Lars are the same person. Ever notice that whenever the characters meet themselves they never get along (ie: The Farnswort Parabox, BBS)? They pointed that out in the comentary and I tend to agree. If I ever ran into another one of me it would lead to an epic battle to see which of us would get to live. There can only be one of me, I'm sorta like the Highlander. Originally posted by Bendersfan1221: What does that mean in German? Absolutly nothing. I know German and that's complete giberish. Xanfor, I have just on question for you. Why must you turn the thread into a house of LIES!?! Also, that isn't the joke. They never tell you what the joke is, they only tell you the one Hitler came up with as a counter-measure. Hitler: "Mein Hund hat keine Nase." Crowd: "Wie riecht er?" Hitler: "Schrecklich!" That is real German.

I know it wasn't. That was the joke the British prisoner attempted to pass off as the real one when he was being interrogated by the Germans.

Firstly: I hope your cousin gets better soon, Bendersfan. I had a friend die in a car accident a week before christmas. Sucks, dunnit? Secondly: Originally posted by Bendersfan1221: What does that mean in German?
Well, if you correct some spelling (and make some changes based on typical German spelling), you can translate it to mean: Wenn ist das nurnstuck git und slottermeier? Ya! Beigerhund das oder die flipperwald gesput! When is the (Nurn)-piece (git) and (slottermeier)? Yes! Beige dog that, or the Flipper Forest is (gesput. Past tense verb?)! Dass heißt: Es bedeutet nichts! EDIT: Incidentally: In Berlin today, it's 0-5 degrees C. A positive heat wave compared to their recent weather! (neither min or max are negative )

There's nothing sexier than a whale, kiddo.
Speaking of which, Mushu the intelligent whale from 300 Big Boys happened to 'accidentally' remove Leela's swimming costume. I smell another unlikely relationship... and/or vomit.
