It used to be milk but time makes fulls of us all... Fools. There's been much talk of Fry's slobbish ways, but I don't recall many occassions where Leela's been that bothered by that aspect of his persona. She's more vexed by his irresponsibility in the face of duty, his oft-immature antics, and his general brazen idiocy. She seems generally indifferent about his hyginene and cleanliness except as it pertains to the work environment.

No. Burned out once, shame on you...twice... what was Amy's take?

I was a bit shocked in fact when Leela opened the door to her OneEye apartment. (Q to the group: who else was - anyone?). A TV and a chair in the lounge. That was it. Clean, yes - but not much to be untidy. Before the female PEELers rip off my .. needful things: there is proof: she also makes her meals one month in advance and freezes them (I bet they are the same recipes as well). She is (like Fry) mostly dressed in the unmistakeable (and very practical and revealing, we males are soo thankful for that) tank top and tight pants... so she has her peculiarities. Allright I admit Fry's room was Filthy, as his grilfriend I would beat him up with a wet gas bottle (A saying in the Alien world I come from, too lazy to write it in AL#2) until he tidied up and showered... NO, showered and then tidied up! And then we could ...talk. After he sucked the belly in.

You're right Fry_B. Leela's not so much a clean freak. Her dwelling is sparse, a reflection of the emptiness of her personal life. That's not to say she's meticulous and clean. She doesn't have a problem with her parents living in a sewer after all.

The Futurama world is a dystopia of sorts. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be on the forefront of anyone's mind except the Bureaucrats, but they're rather disliked.

That's just a question of limited resources. The world itself seems generally grimy.

Well I'm grumpy at him. After I bought all his albums and went to all his concerts, Fry_B has never responded to any of my fan letters!
Hmmmph!

I couldn't find where Network Ten's HQ is, so I drove around Sydney for a bit and then randomly killed a few vargants to work off my anger.

I live two and a half hours south of Sydney, in a little craphole spittoon of a town that serves as a gathering point of all the lowest and most irredeemible scum in the country. That's why I'm here.

That's why I'm here. Funny that... some are upset they're away from the Beeg City, and others don't know how to bloody get away from it.. I was born in a 2 mil people city, lived in a 13 storey block of flats, never had a garden... so the hell with the City...in regards to Futurama... everyone seems to be happy to live in New New York - maybe there is no 'country' left... Anyway, Futurama has a pretty centric view of the world - like any other American sitcom or movie I'd say...(see Fry's comments on US being part of the world in A Taste of Freedom) ... which reminds me - did Leela strip naked in front of everyone in that ep (Well Amy too...)? ...Some helpful editor cut that scene - or was it never drawn As Ralph Snart said, we are not ashamed to look at her body Fry didn't seem to be bothered either... say, was there ever a scene where Bender tried to get to the bottom of the matter in the hot tub ? I remember seeing something... somewhere...

I dislike the city as much as I dislike any place where other people reside. I went out for a quiet walk tonight and had a carload full of drunk fuckwits hurl a beer bottle at me. I'd like to get a hold of those sons of whores and gut them one by one. Fucking filth. Human beings are fucked. You, me, all of us. We'd do well to stay as far away from each other as possible. I fucking HATE humanity. ...Yeah anyway. Cities. No, not for me. I prefer rural areas. There's more space to be alone... mostly. Yeah, Futurama's American-centric. The Earth Flag is essentially the American flag. That holds true to America's present day aspirations toward 'American global leadership', as PNAC calls it. Pax Americana is what I call it - the New World Order, the groundwork of which is being lain in this 'War on Terror' thing that the Republicans have cooked up by staging 'terrorist' attacks. It boils down to world domination... the ultimate outcome of which is likely to be a United State of Earth scenario as depicted in Futurama (although maybe not with Nixon's head). One thing you can be sure of - I will die fighting it. Fry's comment in that episode mirrors the sentiment of most Americans today. The scene you refer to is this one: I like it 'cause Fry sees Amy first and gapes a little bit, but then he sees Leela and his jaw nearly hits the ground. His response to her is a lot greater. Nice to see ladies who are comfortable with their bodies.

The Professor referred to a certain lessening in future concepts of modesty in X-Mas Story, before unashamedly derobing.

On the other hand, he did brazenly follow them into the ladies steam room.
