But...Neighbours finishes for the year soon, surely? They can have The Simpsons in that slot and leave Futurama where it is. *shakes fist* Dooo it!

Neighbours is only off air for like 1 or 2 weeks of the entire year. Just like the weeks with Christmas and new years and that. I like Neighbours anyway.

They can take The Simpsons off for a while and chuck Futurama in The Simpsons' place because everyone's seen all the Simpsons episodes 5638129165901365 times but only we have seen Futurama episodes 5638129165901365 times, not everyone else.

Actually, Neighbours is off air from December through til....February isn't it? Normally? Right? I always get sort of excited this time of year to see what shows they'll put on...like Sabrina or Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place...but now we have Futurama, and I'd be happy if they just put it on from 6 - 7.30 every night, even if that meant you'd see the whole lot within a couple of weeks..over and over again...then more people might actually watch it...

It should be...

6:00pm: Simpsons
6:30pm: News
7:00pm: Futurama
7:30pm: Simpsons
8:00pm: Futurama
[change channel]
8:30pm: CSI
9:30pm: CSI: Miami

... every night I say! ... except Tuesdays @ 9:30pm ; I want my Rove back!

6:30 News? No way! Channel 10 has always had the news for an hour at 5pm and it's great like that! There's nothing better in that timeslot so it actually gets me interesting in the news sometimes. And Neighbours has to say! And make sure Smallville is in there somewhere! And I need to switch to channel 7 every night at 7pm now anyway because That '70s Show is coming back next week! (So great timing I suppose)

And Law and Order (particularly SVU) is waaaay better than CSI.

Pfft, I hate drama and stories that never end or are inconclusive.

Law and Order is alright I spose, but I don't often watch it. CSI is my fave... I have a crush on Greg *squee*

Futurama's good like that, each ep is fairly conclusive at the end.

Awwwww dammit, I'm melting now... who'd of thought a small amount of sentiment would ever fall on me?!

Fry's actions in Love & Rocket are the coolest of all, because that is so totally what I would do, and there's nobody cooler than me... with the possible exception of Sean Connery. But seriously, the act of noble self-sacrifice is the definitive gesture of the hero, and another incidence in a Groening work of the flawed slovenly everyman loser rising above his failings to touch true greatness (the other is Homer Simpson, who often does the same, though usually in more subtle ways).
Okay, that's not so much about romance as herosim, but I can't help it - I have a fascination with the role of the hero archetype in fiction and history.
Leela was SOOOO gonna shag him after that, except Zoidberg had to interrupt...

Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles... I've decided that's my overall favourite Futurama episode I think. Sooooo funny, great storyline and with a nice dose of shippyness too.

Me too...what a series that was! I've got most of them on video  :)

Mulder and Scully first got me into shippyness too. I hope it doesn't take Fry and Leela 9 seasons to get together. Mind you for 9 seasons of Futurama I might be willing to accept the price  :hmpf:

But they just freakin' started showing it again and I realised I haven't seen bits & pieces of several eps... And seeing it on DVD ... well... it's not the same somehow, being on TV enforces some discipline...

Ummm.. did I mention I watch Futurama on a 2.5 x 1.2 screen and the CGI scenes look really good - not to mention the shippy ones  :) Too bad Futurama doesn't have surround - but can be simulated

Well on an update to what I said last time: On Tuesday at 8pm, they are showing Roswell That Ends Well so they're either going to go out of order or just starting from season 3 or whatever that episode is.

Cyber - stop spreading Futurama_fan_insane_driving_r umors   :) - just give it to us - what Tuesday 8pm ? Today is Wed - are you in Aust or not - it's a big country but still...same day? Maybe they do what they did to Seinfeld, in the end they started showing episodes from all over the place, I remember Elaine's haircut went from early days to latest craze. NO! Not the Spanner again! Ok, Ok, I admit, I read that somewhere, I never noticed it, being a typical male and not very chivalrish (wink-wink).

I meant... I hate Fry on the edge of death, but at the same time it gives Leela a moment to be the one doing the saving, and you get a romantic moment becase of it.

Arrrrgh well I'm getting daily updates because they only tell you what's on for the next 6 days after the day you look. Yes, I am in Australia.

Tommorow (Thursday) and the day after (Friday), will be season one Futurama episodes at 7pm like usual.

Then on next Monday, there will be no Futurama.
On Next Tuesday, there will be one Futurama episode at 8pm but it's from Season 3.

After that, I don't know yet.

Clear enough?

It was just a random idea i had triggered by a slew of shark attacks down here. My parents were even semi-present for one of them.

And you think that's bad? You should see the animaniacs pic i'm currently working on. I am a horrible horrible person. Fictional animated characters run from me in fear. But at least my cats still love me.

And I thought that Leela's mutant bloodline would make her untasty to sharks...

Dudette, move up here to Colorado.  No 100+ degree heat, no shark attacks, 6 inches of snow this morning and a snowmobile rental for 4 hour waiting on me in the morning in Cheyenne.  This is God's land, Venus (yes, I know we're both atheist, but you get the idea).

Thats what the Futurama writers do whenever theres a romantic moment that they dont want to get any longer. They send Zoidberg in. Zoidberg can defuse, destroy and totally wreck any romantic situation. Thats why hes so useful to the writers and thats why they didnt kill him off in the 2nd season as they were planning to.
