I don't see how this is all that bad, especially after you personally draw that one.

Cut me some slack, it was years ago. Boolean algebra it would appear to be. Point being he uses true/false and therefor to get his point across.

Emotion no, writing yes. All writing is an act of conscious creation, therefore it has logic.

This is a useless descussion because we both agree to bring on the pudding!

HS: Yours is a little more outgoing... and KitKat is right, mine slots into the 'shippy' a little better.

When was Fry and Leela's first unofficial date? ^TMLH? before Why of Fry?(stood in line for five hours for rocket skating tickets) A Flight to remember? ('I guess that leaves you and your fake fiance. All alone. On a romantic cruise.')

Ahhhh, HS you have once again bruised my eyes. You have also made my hair turn red. Oh no wait, it was already like that...
Anywho, yours was not quite as shippy. Err, nicely drawn, I um...guess, all other things aside, but-
LET'S GET SHIPPY!
In my personal opinion, I think they may have had an unofficial date during the cruise. Although it isn't technically canon.
one can only hope.

1. I didn't draw it, The Voices did. (Or so I am told.)

2. I didn't post it in a shippy context. The thread was asking who you would most like to sleep with.

3. The straight up drawing on it is more than decent.

In the end it looks like yall are saying you're ok with "edgy" art as long as it's shippy. I still say it's no better or worse than what you drew.

But we're happy with our opinions. And you're most welcome to keep your own. I'm not going to worry about this, I'm backing out now cause I don't want to get into a full fledged arguement.

Kit Kat; Fry and Leela were almost always together on that ship, I think we can dub it the first date.

You can't call that a date. They did little more than make googly eyes and near kiss. A date is usually something that is scheduled. I mean, if you call that a date than Fry+Leela have been on many dates.

I think it may have been a sort-of-date, seeing as how they probably went to the casino together at some point, and perhaps ate dinner together as well. You could kind of call that a date, or at least a day out together.

Emotion has its own logic. It doesn't come out of nowhere...even when we don't see the cause, there IS one, even if it's buried long ago in childhood, or caused by weird chemistry, or whatever.

(As my roommate the true-crime junkie says, "ALL serial killers had hideous childhoods, even the ones whose parents are lying." )

No, fanfic is HOMEMADE cupcakes...all lop-sided and drippy and crumbley, but pretty darn good - if the baker hasn't forgotten an ingredient (or substituted something inappropriate, like tuna or jalapeno... )

While I agree emotion may have it’s own causes and effects, it isn’t logic in the sense of ‘a form of valid reasoning’.

Homemade cupcakes are usually so much better than storebought ones, definitely NOT the case with real futurama canon vs. fanfiction. (Not that all futurama fanfictions are bad of course.)

And now for some pics!

---------------------

I don’t think Leela herself really knows. I think at best she has rationalizations that she tells herself, but knows deep in her subconscious heart of hearts that they’re a porcelain crock of sh*t, and that speaking them aloud would make that obvious, even to herself. So she has an instinctive fear of revealing them...hence, she grabs for lame excuses when pressed for an answer, because that's the best she can come up with.

I will sum this up as 'Leela won't allow herself to become fully conscious of her feelings for Fry'. Optionally, it may be refered to as 'Shiny's post'.

Now, to translate...

• A fails to take into account B, ∴ A = ¬True, ∴ A = False, ∴ C = True, ∴ E = True.
• F = True, ∴ F = ¬False, ∴ F = True.

• 'Your first post' hurt people (such as me) emotionally inside, therefore, it was immoral.
• 'Your first post' fails to take into account 'Shiny's post', which states that 'Leela won't allow herself to become fully conscious of her feelings for Fry'. Thus, SpaceCase used incomplete (therefore illogical) reasoning.
• You do not have the authority to denounce this. If it is to be changed, I await the jury's nullification.

Moving on to another misstatement on your part...

Incorrect. The majority of geometry is the solving of proofs using postulates and corollaries. The notation is somewhat different, however.

As I posted above, nobody said that emotion follows the rules of logic. Hopeless was refering to my arguments I had put forth. Hence, if you also were, you would be denying that my arguments concerning emotion are valid, on principle. I may accept this, so long as you admit that your arguments are also invalid on principle. And Venus's arguments. And Shiny's.

I tend to feel a

Plots that their romantic fate imply...
Make me sigh!

Amy and her Kiffy,
Also pretty spiffy;
Bender and the Countess had their charm....
(Let's face it, I love smarm!)

All eps, you know, are shippy eps,
Though some can be more blatant;
For ship is in the details,
And the best ship is the latent.
To the learnéd glance,
Everything's romance--
Why, I can find ship in "Clone of My Own"
Or "Crimes of the Hot" when I'm in 'the zone!'

I cheer......
When Venus updates reach our sphere;
I'm also known to shed a tear
When they appear
`Cause they're so peer........

Who needs a hobby, like football scores or raising bees?
I've got a hobby: rereading Layla's masterpiece.

There's also shippy artwork, and
Each day new shippers rise -
Why Xanfor's brought new fics and threads
Just brimming with the thing we prize.......

(In other words--)

Ship! (I love it!)
Ah, we're all helpless in its grip!

Even JBerges took a sip--
A little nip--
Of tasty Ship--
Hip, hip hooray!

S·h·i·p·p·e·r·s
(Tune: The theme from Friends)

So no one told you the show was gonna end this way?
You think the 'Ship's collapsed, with nothing more to say?
It's like that time that Shiny showed me so...
Whan you think they're gonna crash, you gotta turn to yourself and say NO!

'Cause the 'Ship is there for you!
(Venus's high-emotion fic)
The 'Ship is there for you!
(Anti-shippers may get sick)
The 'Ship is there for you!
We're all there for you too...

You're still not quite too sure that things are A-Ok.
People say to you, the relationship is a nay.
But don't you let those words make you feel trapped in a dirge,
You make it up fast with a helping of JBERGES!

'Cause the 'Ship is there for you!
(Layla's got two whole threads)
'Cause we're all there for you!
(There's no cause for dread)
The 'Ship is there for you!
We're all there for you too...

You feeling slightly better, things seem brighter now.
Only one question remains, and namely, it is 'How?'
There's only one person who can compare,
When is comes to this board, no one can help but stare!

'Cause the 'Ship is there for you!
(With a girl named Shiny)
The 'Ship is there for you!
(Don't you dare call her Tiny)
The 'Ship is there for you!
We're all there for you too...

So now you're quite all right, and now you can plainly see,
All the things you've missed, events that are soon to be!
But what would the 'Ship be without the rest?
The newcomers, the visitors, fryandlemon and the best, we sing

The 'Ship is there for you!
(Zoidy, Case, and Hopeless)
We're all there for you!
(Kit-Kit, Ralph, that that person with the avatar of Fry as a tasty mess)
The 'Ship is there for you!
We're all there for you too...
