I know this is old news, but I thought it would be interesting to make a list of all the episodes the number 9 guy has been in. Until recently I thought he was only in "A Flight to Remember" in the crowd scene where the Titanic spaceship is waiting to be loaded.

Today, to my surprise I noticed him in the crowd scene of the Miss Universe contest in "Lesser of Two Evils". On the Season One DVD's commentary for they said about him having something to do with some religion. Anyway I'm wondering if he's in any other episodes, which ones and where? thanx :)

I think his first appearance may have been in "A Big Piece of Garbage". The late, lamented Futurama Chronicles had a list of his appearances.

He was in "When Aliens Attack" and possibly, I'm not sure, possibly "My Three Suns" as well.

Who's this number 9 guy? I've seen most of the listed episodes, and don't have a clue. Does he have a '9' on his shirt? Does he have a fetish with the number 9? Please, let me know.

The Number 9 Man is a bald, grey-bearded guy in a long white shirt with the number 9 on it. He shows up in the background sometimes, but I don't think he's been seen since Season 2.

They did originally plan to create caste system (like in India), where people would wear a big number signifiyng their status within the system. Much like the career chip this proved to inhibitive and they abandoned the idea (but kept the #9 guy around for some cameos).

I'm a bit uncertain whether I forgot something. I'll have to check the DVD again. I'll be back in a few days.

Me too. But then praises the availablity to get it overseas, via the internet. And the multitude of 'shareware' available that allows one to 'back it up' on ones hard drive...    :evillaugh:    :laff:

Yeah, I wish he was still in it. Kryten said that he probably isn't in any after Season Two which is a shame. I thought of an episode he might be in after Season Two, but I don't have it on tape so I can't check. Maybe in the crowd scenes at the beginning of "The Day The Earth Stood Stupid"?

I've never seen this "number 9 guy" before. I'll have to look out for him next time I see futurama.
