Yeah, but I'm lazy and cheap. Why use 500 kr worth of gas, when a 5 kr stamp can get the job done. Also I found my wristwatch in a Donald Duck pocket book, probably worth even less on the street.

Note, stamp, envelope.Really, that's both the easiest and most efficient. And I think we can just go the risk of losing one in 10,000 donation letters.

I don't get why people are so hesitant about sending money by mail. The prime duty of mail companies is to deliver mail, and they're pretty rigid about it, at least PostDanmark is. As a last way exit you can always mail it registred, they're even more anal about those kind of letters and you'll get noticed if the thing goes astray. It cost more, but it's safer.

Anyone used Royal Mail (UK)? Not the best mail service in the world, renound for losing letters. However to credit it it's not too expensive and quick on the ones it does deliver.

If a £10 note should disappear, I'm certain Marc would chip in to make ends meet. Millions of letters are sent every day, and I bet somewhere between 99-100% of them reaches its destination (or is sent back to the recipient if something should go wrong - this would only apply to non-anonymous donations though).

Next time I'm at the mall I get some Euro's... the rate of exchange isn't as bad as I had thought. Pretty well the same as the US dollar to the Canadian dollar. If I keep the letter under 30 grams I can send 20 Euros for about $32.75 Canadian including shipping and exchange. I'd probably pay about 35 to make it get there faster though.[This message has been edited by Chump (edited 11-23-2002).]

Hey, I'm curious. Does this go to fund PEEL, or PEEL and CGEF? I could get along without CGEF to be honost. I came in after it was gone so I had no idea what I was missing.

The €174 is PEEL only (it's a separate hosting contract). There is no problem with using the slower/cheaper way, really. [This message has been edited by Administrator [-mArc-] (edited 11-23-2002).]

When I get me hold of some spare cash (that'll be after X-Mas) I'll send a few €€€ to the cause. But if I do that, I want to see my next "PEEL Slogan" make it to the regular rotation.

Recieved 39 more anonymous euros (after exchanging). Thanks to Mr/Mrs Anonymous 3 Jon/TNUK: As I said, there is not going to be any bought advantage beyond a mention here if someone wants that. Regarding the PEEL slogan that means that it still would need to pass the normal assessment process (which at the moment no slogan passes ) [This message has been edited by Administrator [-mArc-] (edited 11-26-2002).]

Wait so that makes 51 + 40 + 39 = €130. Right? Only another €44 to go. I'll chip in a tenner (€15) if I go to Europe any time soon. You will reach that total easy.

Yeah looking good, but the target is to get €174 + €44 = €218 over the next 6 months to have the money when the next payment is due instead of starting to panic.

I'm currently not sure about AU$, but I can check next monday or so. Currently, I can exchange bottles for €0.10 each, but they have to be part of the dealers inventory. Cans can be returned starting next year.

Speaking of returning empties, I read a little while back that if you had bought a grand's worth of beer, and a grands worth of Nortel stock, the return on the empties would be worth nearly double the stock about now. Harsh.
