Yeah, with that page tear on the lower left of the screen so they can run the credits and not waste any extra time on giving the artists and creators their due. At least they are not squishing the whole page over so you can't see anything clearly at the end of the episode like the TV Land Network does to their shows!! I hate how they do that to Star Trek, trickster381... HATE THAT!! P.S. You're welcome. I'm glad you have something to look forward to in the definite future!!

Sadly, I have nothing more to say than I loved it. Honestly, I have no criticism, even after reading others opinions on the supposed downfalls. I just really loved it.

I wrote this in UnPEEL, but it's obviously not here. So, I'll write it again. My initial review was "Great", and I still think it's way better than anything currently being shown on TV. But, after repeated viewings, BBS is not growing on me like classic Futurama episodes have. Maybe it's the longer format, maybe it's the voice characterizations (which I thought were off a little), maybe it's a flatter script, maybe it's the more convuluted plot, but it's just not doing it for me like the 1/2 hour episodes did. I hope BWABB gets back in the groove, and reminds me more of the TV episodes.

Some shows, like Star Trek and Red Dwarf, just aren't complete until you watch all the way to end of the credits...

Watched BBS about 5 or 6 times after it was released and thought it kinda was off a bit. Didn't watch it for about a month then watched it over the last 2 nights. Seemed a lot more like Good 'Ol Futurama omly drawn better and not the rapid-fire pacing, or 22 minute compartmenting of the 1st-run episodes.

Strangely some of the dreary, sad stuff started to seem a bit absurdly funny.

Picked this up last weekend and I loved it....
I was laughing my arse off all the way through and I loved the references to past eps that they probably had no intention of going back to had it not been for this movie....brilliant....

No spoilers, you have to see it to appreciate it....!

I did think the plot was a bit weird though and sort of hard to follow but I've only watched it once so....

My only major beef with both the songs and Christopher Tyng's underscore is that apparently The "Box network" didn't want to pony up the cash to hire an ax-tutal orchestra, so we had to settle for cheap synthesizers. Kind of like how the Paul Dini/Bruce Timm Batman and Superman cartoons had lush orchestral scores that went to tinny synths for Justice League.

The second song was marginally better, but neither of them hold a candle to the previous songs in the series.

To me the "Alley Song" was reminicent of the classic 60's movie comedy tunes like "The Great Race".

http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack/greatrace

For those of you who only know who "Star Wars" John Williams is.

http://www.moviemusic.com/composer.asp?mm=mancinih&sort=year

The "Toy Shop" tune was saved by the elves.

Then again considering how little money seems to have gone into the movie's music it wasn't terrible. I guess we were just spoiled by the episodes' full orchestra. Still nothing wrong with demanding perfection.

Yes, finally someone agrees with me. All I keep hearing is how great the animation is, and I'm sitting there thinking did you watch the same movie as me? So much off-model character animation. The space battle didn't thrill me either. The best animation of the movie was probably in the alleyway when it was snowing and Robot Santa first showed up. Other than that it was poorly animated and poorly directed in my opinion...

I'd agree that I'm glad it's back, but if you see the Nixon in the film looks completely different to the original. I thought that the film wasn't that good in general (particulary the songs),but I did enjoy a few good one liners:

Barbados Slim: You haven't seen the last of Barbados Slim-now I must leave forever.

Hermes: Bureaucrat grade 34, Hermes Conrad. Is who I am.

I'm glad it's back as it means there is potential for the future films be be just as good as the Tv series.

That Slim line will be funniest if we never see the character again.

My fav BBS line is

Bender: Struggling alone against incredible odds - I, Bender, managed to kill him. (And no-one else seems to agree that it's even funny).

My mostest favorite 'line' from BBS has to be:

Bender: <In a robot-like monotone> "Entering auto-destruct sequence."

<In his normal voice> "Aw crap, I hate auto-destruct sequence."

Oh, and this one is too:

Nibbler: "Too late Nudar. I've wiped Fry's butt clean."
Nudar: "We'll see about that."
...
Fleb: "Nothing, boss. We sprunged his ass inside and out."

This one is also my most favorite one of them all:

Leela: "Troops, you are now equipped with the finest weapons magical elves can build."

That's all. For now. I think.

Finally got around to watching it, It wasn't spectacular but I enjoyed it, pandered a bit too much to the shippers alright and it was a bit much to have Fry become a loner for 12 years with only a whale for company/sex just cos he couldn't get any action with Leela and I also saw the twist cumming prematurely but it still had some laughs so I'll give it 7/10.
