BBS had more than one job to do. It had to try to satisfy the ultra picky long term fans AND it had to try to hook new people too. That is a task that is at best difficult. We all know the story, we have a lot of expectations . New viewers may need to get the hook set by giving them a Fry/Leela relationship that isn't already at the level of TDHAIP.

I have seen this expression on Leelas face before, I do not think it has anything to do with fry being in the background. I'm not that convinced in fact that she was deliberatly rubbing it in Fry's face any more than usual. In fact I think she just likes to show it off in general because deep down she can't believe how lucky she is!
I reckon some of us are reading to much into this because of dissapointment about the course of the F/L ship, in BBS.

She also made that face in "Hell is other Robots" when she concocts her plan to get Bender back to normal. So I think it's either lust or villainy rather than both.

I think it is both a lusty and villainous expression. She only had sex with Fry in "Anthology of Interest I" to keep his mouth shut about the murders.

Wasn't she talking about sleaze in that moment, though? That's kind of related to lust.... :P

Impulsive Leela could have as easily killed Fry on the spot as she did everybody else who got in her way, but she decided to give Fry another incintive not to rat her out.

Of course I have always wondered what she did to Fry after she turn out the light and he screamed, then said "I really like it."

Haven't we all.

I think that AOI 1 presents some of the best evidence that she likes Fry alot more than she lets on. It also shows that she is alot more violent and seems to be just barely capable of contoling her anger. After all she was only "a little more impulsive, just a little."

That's from when he's guiding the deathstar ripoffs during the space fight, right?

I thought that shot was put in there to establish how at ease he was since, at least at that point in time, he was kicking major ass in the battle.

And if that's not the scene I'm thinking of then... I don't know.

Yeah it is...is kinda like the dot-matrix printing scene in Leela`s homeworld..escept that laster far longer.

Dont know..it gets my nerves..maybe its the overexposure they give to those three ....things ..that the last thing i wanted to see was yet another free close up of Nudar

This one isn't Lusty, its scheming, the key difference is that the mouth is open to reveal the teeth. In the one with Lars the mouth is closed as though she is savouring something, at the same time the eye suggests scheming but maybe just in the naughty in the bedroom sense!

Well, the start was a little shakey but instantly we returned to Futurama territory.

I think they did a pretty damn good job. They had too, because I bet they weren't hoping that Simpsons Movie was going to finance them. Woooo!

It's a large sized soda that 7-11 stores sell. I've seen quite a few parodies of gamers that always have a Big Gulp next to them. Apparently gamers all love Big Gulps (but I'm not sure where that idea came from).
