Eating discount after-valentines candy hearts reminds me of Love and Rocket. There don't seem to be any 21-character expressions, though .

Edit: TOTPD on my second post!

Well, the other day, my friend Zack mentioned the musician Sting...I think that it's obvious what that reminded me of.

Also, another friend of mine, Stewart, tends to joke around with me and say, "Hey, Lila, don't fall into another comma!"--playing off my two least favorite misspellings--"Leela" and "coma".

Same here. I don't really like candy hearts that much, but I still eat them if people give 'em to me,I mean it's still candy.By the way, welcome to PEEL.

The following conversation took place as a classmate and I erased some formula filled boards to make room for an upcoming review session:

Her: Do you think any of this stuff is important?

Me: Probably not.

Her: Someone figured out the theory to time travel and just left to get his camera...

Me: If only he had taken the picture, he could have used his work to go back and stop us!

Her: Uh...

It took a second (EDIT: for me) to realize I was basically quoting Zoidberg in A Clone of my Own.

So, I'm reading this newspaper article about a fourteen-year-old girl who shot her dad and then claimed it was to help him comit suicide. Horrible, shocking, morbidly fascinating, right? Then I get to "Deputies discovered the body of a 56-year-old man in an upstairs bedroom, Lt. Phil West said," and I immediately think, "Hey! Phil for Fry and West for Billy West! Yay!"

Sorry possibly suicidal father. Sorry probably abused, possibly murderous girl. Sorry Lieutenant West. Futurama's replaced my brain with a flickering halogen bulb, and I think it just burned out.

When I was (not) watching the news the other day I heard something about technology giving robots the ability to feel lust. Of course I immediately thought Bender and in general the robots of Futurama.
This is probably the story, which I googled up just now. I didn't really read it though.

Well, there's an article in the Weekly World News about a cyclops who gets married...and Futurama is mentioned! That made me jump up and down with glee. I showed it to my friends, but they didn't really care.

Also, at K-Mart, I think that someone called Leela was called over the loudspeaker...

And at school, I was voted Most Likely To Protest Outside Of FOX.

Before I list mine, I'd like to pause and say that I sincerely hope I don't get a verbal beating for being a newbie on my bewwy first post here and/or topic bumping. But anyway, I was doing my physics research and had the Futurama flashback that led me here in the first place. There's a phenomenon in x-rays called Bragg's Law. Long story short, it basically relates to whether the interference between x-rays re-emitted from particles in a lattice will be constructive or destructive. But I misread it as Brannigan's Law and had violent flashback to the scene in Love's Labours Lost in Space where Zapp keeps either dramatically saying "Brannigan's Law," or making others say it somewhat less enthusiastically. Then for the rest of the afternoon, flashbacks to the underlying physics of Futurama interrupted study until the revelation that the circuit diagrams I'd been sketching were basically primitive form of robot pornography. Giggles emanated from my library cubicle. Strange looks were recieved. And justly deserved.

Philp_j_fry, that reminds me of something. In fifth grade, my teacher was talking about a guy who was in a coma, and every day his wife would talk to him. One day, she was eating lunch by his bedside, and she was telling him about the cherries she was eating. Right then, he woke up and asked her for a cherry. Obviously, The Sting came to mind.

_April Fool's Day BUMP!_

So I saw this poem today, that my friend read in English class. She is a Futurama fan, but she hadn't seen 4th season (which I then loaned her just afterwards), so she didn't pick it because of Seymour.

Nonetheless, read and weep:

A Dog Sits Waiting
By Kathy Flood

A dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun,
Too faithful to leave, too frightened to run.
He's been here for days now with nothing to do
But sit by the road, waiting for you.

He can't understand why you left him that day
He thought you and he were stopping to play.
He's sure you'll come back, and that's why he stays
How long will he suffer: How many more days?

His legs have grown weak, his throat's parched and dry
He's sick now from hunger and falls with a sigh.
He lays down his head and closes his eyes
I wish you could see how a waiting dog dies.

*bawls*
