This reminds me of a certain Futurama character ... see if you can find the brief scene of which I'm talking about.

Woo! Top of the page yodel.

I think I saw an H.G. Blob in there, Zoidy227!

A friend of mine told me that she knows a girl with one eye (she's blind on the other) with purple hair. Of course, that reminded me of Futurama.

Another thing is that the other day, in class, everybody began to sing "Don't worry, be happy". It was so funny, and I immediately thought about "The Sting".

I once went to this psychic fair and got a reading done. She said I had an alternate reality trying to reach me, like a parallel universe. Of course I immediately thought of the Farnsworth Parabox

You are now one of my favorite Peelers ever.

Today I was in the car and heard Total Eclipse of the Hart. I turned it way loud and my mom got mad at me. Then when we got home, we watched Sky Captian and the World of Tommorow.

I was walking a few hours ago in Sydney. A busker was there playing the same instrument as Hermes in Time Keeps on Slipping for the nude conga line.

There is an add on the moment that's a parody on Funkytown, advertising some fruit product called Chunkytown. You know what that reminds me of

My sister says that whenever they stop for petrol she thinks of Bender exploding in Parasites Lost. Lol

Yeah, I know how you feel, in a way--at the local comic store, they told me that they wouldn't be making any new Futurama stuff, except the comics and calendars. I'm not sure how true that is, but it made me want new episodes even more.

Sucks! Hopefully not entirely true, somehow

When I was studying Latin yesterday (the joy!), I came across the word 'morbo'. It's the ablative case of morbus, which means 'decease'. It kinda fits him

Every Saturday since the Detroit Pistons won the NBA playoffs, they've shown something called Prime Time Pistons, which features series of shorts entitled "Interplanetary Pistons" (click the link to watch them).

So I watched it, because nothing better was on. The Pistons had to save the world from time-skips caused by a baby spinning the Earth on its finger like a basketball. (Oh noez!!)

What's this, now? A basketball team saving the world from timeskips? Ooh, what a coinsidence...

AsaB--What declension is that word in? I can't say I've ever come across it. (Then again, I'm in 6th grade Latin--we're only on second declension.) Still...that's pretty cool.

Anyway, I keep hearing songs that remind me of Futurama (scarily enough, a lot of them are by Avril Lavigne). And earlier today, I was making up a song in my head, and it was about Futurama. (It had something to do with "giant birds and giant bees"--from The Series Has Landed and The Sting, respectively.)

Also, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere (I think it has, but oh well), but in one episode of The Fairly Oddparents, Cosmo and Wanda get frozen in their fishbowl, and when they get thawed, Cosmo asks if they're in the future. Needless to say, that reminded me of Futurama.

I went to the public Library a few days ago to find some information for this crappy thing I had to do, and some kid had left a Library book on the floor.
So I picked it up to put it on the shelf when I looked at the cover and on it was that French kid who stands on that planet then later gets knocked off by Dwight and Cubert in "The Route Of All Evil"! I forget the name of the book but whoever drew the kid in Futurama did a really good job of it!

Sorry for the late answer. But, that word is actually in the second declension At least that's how I learned it, all words ending in -us (aka 'servus') are called declensions of the second type. Just ask if you're still confused!

On-topic: My dad has a little thing that's actually 'The Zapper'...need I go on?

Thank you, AsaB.

I've recently introduced a friend to Futurama. He likes it. ONE OF US...ONE OF US...I've also been quoting it a lot around my best friend. I'm not sure if she'd be allowed to watch it, but she seems to think the quotes are pretty funny. (I've told her quite a few of the drug jokes. Now, Emily (the aforementioned friend,) Stewart (another friend) and I will sometimes randomly quote Lrrr's line from The Problem With Popplers, about his hands being huuuuuuuuge.)

Anyway, I'm now at the point where most of the songs I listen to remind me of Futurama. I've also been getting random scenes stuck in my head...like getting a song stuck in your head, only different.

I was just thinking about this thread.

I was watching Nicktoons with my little sister, as My Life as a Teenage Robot came on. The episode title was "Future Scope." I had to do a double take, because I thought it said Future Stock.

As I'm writing this, I'm watching Aladdin on Disney, where Jasmin bumps into the fire breather. He swallows the match, then sarts choking on it. Suddenly, he creates a flaming burp. Reminded me of Bender, obviously

I have a fun story... Yesterday of course was Valentine's Day. So, a group of about 12 guys on my campus decided that, to celebrate, they'd run around campus wearing only white thongs with hearts painted on their asses, singing "Valentine's Day songs" and throwing the tiny chalky hearts all over the place. I did not see this (thank God) but I did, however, see the result. Candy hearts EVERYWHERE. At the time, I had no idea how it had happened, and of course it reminded me of "Love and Rocket." It was neat to see about a thousand candy hearts stewn all over the floor. I heard that some people called campus police and they got in trouble though. Some people just take things way to seriously and ruin all the fun. No wonder life is so boring.

That was extremely nice of your friend. Nobody really knows of my obsession at school, so I just keep my mouth shut. However, they do know I have a Futurama ringtone on my phone, because it went off in class. One person even asked me if that was Futurama. Luckily, we had a substitute that day who didn't mind so much.
