Apparently, you people haven't read the CGEF article carefully enough!
FUTURAMA IS BACK!(For awhile)

The full story is here, but a condensed version is written below: http://www.moviehole.net/news/4230.html

According to the "Movie Hole" there were a few eps left before cancellation. Due to the record sales of DVD box sets, these few eps will be put into a small box set.

Supposedly FOX is basing their decision of whether or not to bring FUTURAMA back on how well this new DVD set sells.

If this new set does not sell like FOX wants to, they will be passing along the option to CARTOON NETWORK!

So if FOX doesn't bring FUTURAMA back, let's hope that CARTOON NETWORK ain't as stupid as FOX and brings back FUTURAMA!

So, in other words, this will be the deciding box set!

Let us hope, hope, that THERE WILL BE A WORLD OF TOMORROW FOR FUTURAMA! TV PARTY THE NIGHT IT COMES BACK (If)

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but on the home page of CGEF there's a news article addressing the website you linked to, saying that it's false. David X. Cohen said, "I have no idea where any of this is coming from. [...] Everything in [the above quoted] paragraph is utterly false. Someone is having fun torturing the show's fans with phony info, I'm afraid." According to the article, there are no 50% finished episodes either.

@GnrlHammond:

Apparently you didn't read CGEF carefully enough.

From David X Cohen: "There are zero scripts in any partial stage of writing, animation, or development. DVD sales have been very good, so we'll continue lobbying Fox periodically to consider making new episodes. But nothing is happening at present."

MovieHole.com have already retracted their story.

Either way, CN doesn't have the money to finance an entire season by themself.

You guys are soo wrong.  Today we had the builders round doing some work on the house.  One of them told me that a mate of his has a cousin who's sleeping with the sister of a guy who works with the daughter of the roommate of the slacker son of a FOX executive, and according to him FOX are very interested in bringing Futurama back, but they want to cut MG out of the picture after he snubbed FOX's suggestions on how to improve the show.  They're currently assembling a crack team of lawyers to figure out how to persuade MG to hand over entire creative control of the show to them, at which point they'll renew the show and place it under the tender care of Mike Judge.

For his part, Judge believes he has several brilliant ideas on how to improve the show and make it more viewer accessible.  For starters he plans to write Hermes out of the show as soon as possible, and replace him with a old fashioned Texan named Jim Tucker, who's a true Earthican patriot, and can't understand why the PE crew get up to such crazy antics.  Amy's also for the chop, as the Chinese demographic is insignificant to America's Favourite Network.  She'll be replaced by Brittany, the busty blonde high school cheerleader who arrives at the PE building as part of a school outing, and after getting mixed up in this week's wacky adventure stays on as the new intern.

But FOX is a family network at heart, and that's why Fry and Leela will get married at the earliest opportinuty, and soon become proud parents.  Watch the fun ensue as F & L try to juggle careers and a family!

It's all on FOX next fall!

That was probably a reference to the hillbilly like quality of the characters. Thus all minorities(in his opinion) are eliminated.

Although as a bit of irony, in the show "King of the Hill"(by Mike Judge) the Hill's neighbors are Laotian(SORRY), and all but one member of their family is played by Lauren Tom(cornered the market on female asian voices), the voice actor of Amy.
