(By the Way I'm a Themepark freak)

If say Universal Studios or a Six Flags Park or something built a Futurama ride. I recon it could be like a skit on star tours where the palnet express crew go chasing after Mom across the galaxy.

Have your say on what you think'd should be

BendersBackBaby, please use the button instead of double-posting.

In case no one's said it yet, welcome to PEEL!   :)

On topic, I think Drunknmunky's right.  Maybe you and Bender need to outrun Smitty & URL, or the Donbot, Joey Mousepad & Clamps, or something.

I can understand the confusion, BBB.  It looks as though Davey could use a magical voyage on "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing: The Ride." Welcome to PEEL,and edit your post next time instead of double-posting, please.
EDIT: thanks Boingo...

But anyway, back on topic.  The tube simulation would be awesome, but I don't know how it would work scientifically.  I'm all for a motion simulation experience of some sort, though.  There could be a space dogfight, possibly switching between normal Groening animation and Futurama CGI, with humorous cut scenes of the crew bickering.  You can’t go wrong if you get the original voice actors…

Going forward with the tube system, but also going with rollercoasters, if you put a set of cars inside the tubes, would they go any faster? There must be something in the tubes creating pressure, but with the right physics, you could go flying down the tracks. That would be awesome.

I think in general the Park should look like New New York, with all these futuristic buildings and stuff.
The train that conects all the rollercoasters, simulations and other stuff should look like these trains that go through the city. (These trains where one direction is on the upper side of the rail and the other direction on the bottom).

Also:
- Of course the tube system, and because it isn't technically possible, maybe it can be done like in the tube scenes from the film "Running Man", only that you lay in these sledges with your head to the front.
- A cart-track with Bender-cars like he had in "A head in the polls"
- A roller coaster that does the moves like Bender's and Fry's flight with the PE-ship in "The cryonic woman"

A Futurama ride like that old Jetsons ride (sadly now gone) at Universal Studios Florida would kick serious ass...

That is now the Jimmy Neutron ride.. And as much as I dislike that show, I like this new ride better. It might be that instead of cameos by old Hanna Barbera characters, there are now brief glimpses of Zim, Gir, the guys from Rocko and Ren and Stimpy. That makes the whole ride for me.
Anyway, the Neutron ride and its predecessor are the same thing, but dressed in different clothing.. And it would be VERY easy to redo it again in Futurama style.

you could make the tube system work if you put bearings on sort of tubes inside the main tube and had magnets to pull the inner tubes kinda like the bearings on a sk8 brd wheel

In the February 1999 issue of Wired magazine, Matt Groening said, and I quote, "My great unfulfilled ambition - to do my own amusement park - is really why I am doing Futurama.  I'm not kidding.  If this show takes off, I'm going to do an amusement park."

I'll be there opening day, but I better not hear the "whalers on the moon" song.

Speaking of Whalers on the Moon, the park could be an entire reenactment of the moonpark, it would be so cool, and they could have the moon ride ride, and the magnets, and virtual skiball, and virtual virtual skiball. Ooh it would be the coolest theme park ever. And they could have the tube thingy too, they could make the tubes, have tracks inside them, uh man this would be the most awsemest park ever, I want to go NOW!!!

Oh, man. A ride would be awesome! I don't think that there would ever be an entire theme park, though.  :( But, if there was a ride (I'd go with the tubes or the PE ship), which park would it be in? If the ride was in the PE ship, it could be a cool flight simulator like the Star Wars ride at MGM Studios. Yeah, I can imagine it. You'd come along for the ride on a delivery, but then something goes "wrong" and it becomes a very bumpy ride...  :evillaugh:

I've came up with a storyline for a ride:
Planet Express are havign a day for the public to go on an adventure around the universe. When you crash onto Omicron Persia 8 the spot you. You get chased into the drak recesses of space until you escape You then get a call from the proffesor tellign you Mom has taken over the Earth again whilst you were gone so oyu need to go to Moms Death Star to blow up here main transfer fusion boiler. But you're unwatned there still the starship troopers need you help so it turns out to be like a star tours skit.

In front of you theres Fry Leela and Bender animatronics taking oyu through the ride. And at the start on the TV screen in the corner theres a Dr Zoidberg telling you what to do.

Also I don't think anythign on a specific episode'd be very wise becasue not everyone as big of fans of fturama as we are and they won't know whats going on

How about some kind of wild rollercoaster in the dark with some kind of light show and effects to simulate a space battle while your in the PE ship? There could be original clips in the line along with posters and humorous adverts!

Also Davey, I hope all those spelling errors were deliberate...

I'd also request a "See Through The Eyes Of A Bending Unit" thing.

EvilLunch, I like Jimmy Neutron, but it's okay if you don't since you don't talk about your hate of it all the time like some other people on the internet (not to name names).

P.S.:

Rocko and co. will cameo in the SpongeBob movie

Ren and Stimpy will return to Spike TV later this summer (like it or not), and Palisades Toys are making some cool R&S toys. Check them out at http://www.palisadestoys.com/new/RENnSTIMPY/index.html

Palisades is also making Invader Zim toys, see http://www.palisadestoys.com/new/whatsnew/index.php

Also Invader Zim is alvailable on DVD, see http://www.media-blasters.com/zim.cfm?ScrW=988&ScrH=732

I'm so glad I'm excused for not liking a show! And by someone I respect so much no less
Anyway.. Rocko's gonna be in the Spongebob movie..? Weird. I wonder how they'll pull that off. Also, on the posters I've seen, it appears Patrick will have a love interest..?
On topic, I think a What If Machine would contribute to a fairly cool VR game. You could pick a situation and find yourself in it.

I think they should do something kind of like the Star Trek thing in Vegas, only make the Star Trek thing look like a little kiddy ride.  It could start out as the Professor giving the riders a tour of P.E., when something suddenly happens and Brannigan "drafts" the riders to help fight some stupid little thing.  At this point, the riders would be ushered into pods that seat four or five, and do the simulated motion thing (shaking around, big projector screens, etc).

Then, of course, all the pods crash (think Zoidberg), and the rest of the P.E. crew take the riders on various adventures to get them back to the P.E. building, where the Professor has doezed off, forgetting about his hijacked guests.

Adventures back to P.E. could include:
The jungles of Mars and Amazonia
Omichron Persei 8
Duraflame Nat'l Forest (Bigfoot, more Omicronians)
Robot Hell (moving ride)
Flying through space and the atmospheres of various planets on the P.E. ship

(edit): I can't believe I forgot about a mission against Mom.  Perhaps her ship could be a "target of opportunity" while the riders are on their way back to Earth on the P.E. ship.

Also, a high-g flight through NNY would be really cool.

I think stickign with one ride on it would be best and also Simualtor Pods at Theme Parks hold 40 people!

Heres another idea when you leave The P.E Building the ship goes out of control and you go on a rampage through New New York and you crash down into the sewers and slide across the Tube Line

I still think a Star Tours-esque flight simulator is in order. But then, there could be a roller coaster thru Robot Hell in one of those mine carts that Beezelbot had Bender in.  :D

Yes!  Yes!  YES!!!  You read my mind (when it comes to the section after the comma.)

How about the place you stand in line in is the PE building, or maybe the streets of New New York?  The ride should be a simulator ride, like maybe a delivery mission that takes the rider through the exciting moments of the Futurama series.  Here goes.

The simulator ride starts out with Fry and Bender ushering you into the PE ship or a space pod or whatever, saying you're going on a joy ride.  So you go around Earth (like in "The Cryonic Woman," ) but then suddenly Omicronian ships appear and there's a TV screen that Zapp Brannigan appears on, and he says that they're drafted and needs us to fight the Omicronians (like "When Aliens Attack." )  There's a battle where they dodge beams, and the ship retreats from the battle.  The Omicronians reveal a plan to take over Earth unless they get the only copy of the "Single Female Lawyer" DVD.  Maybe it's a journey through space to find the DVD, and the ride travels through places like Neptune, Amazonia, Robot Hell, and Omicron Persei Eight, where they encounter various characters.  It ends when they find the DVD and fly at hyper-speed back to Earth.  "Thanks for helping us," says Fry.  "Now get out of here, meatbag!" adds Bender.  Then the ride ends.

There.  That was kind of long-winded, but an idea nonetheless.

Well I think Animatronics liek fixing the ship and Fry and Bender are on the ship fixing it when Bender's head pops out and has a witty remark to What Leela says when she's abouve them on a platform
