Probably just bigger accent on continuing storylines and have some characters acting less childishly (I mean just characters like Kif, etc. those who weren´t supposed acting that from the begginning).
And like I said on previous threads - some relationship devolepment or even new offsprings would be nice.

I think if Futurama came back, Leela and Fry would instantly break up for the simple reason that one of the hooks of the show was Fry's struggle to get Leela to go out with him. And with the season ending so unfortunately, they (being the writers) wanted to make sure that Fry did score. However if the show came back, having Fry and Leela as a couple produces less storylines than them being seperate. Also, more strong Bender... Now turn around...

I think Kif's tadpoles are ignored mostly for two reasons:

One - Some countries may not have even seen the episode yet on TV.

Two - Because it will be 20/30 years until they come out of the pond.

However I see where you are coming from. It would be the equivalent of giving birth to a baby and then ignoring the fact.

Non Bender episodes in Season 5? What season was you watching? lol

I agree with the points Rhodan made in his first post. Also, I think the writers have written themselves into a corner now (that is, if they ever make more episodes) by putting so much emphasis on the Fry/Leela relationship that they're gonna have to do something about it, because if they don't, it's just gonna be endless, repetetive episodes about Fry trying to bag Leela, and that would just be heinously dull. However, getting Fry and Leela together also seems to be an unpopular option because, apparently, that gives the writers less storylines. So in a sense, 'shippyness' may have done as much harm for Futurama as it has good.

Also, I would like to see more development of all the main characters. The reason being that I don't want to see characters get to the point of being 'Johnny One-Joke' and the show just becoming lazily formulaic. There's only so many times I can laugh at the fact that Zoidberg is poor or Hermes is a druggie, and they'd need to have more strings added to their bow to avoid the danger of becoming a pastiche of themselves.

I agree that if new episodes were produced, there would have to be some sort of relationship between Leela and Fry (as hinted in many Season 4 episodes). But it shouldnt last long. It would be funny if this long-awaited romance lasted only one episode with the two comming to blows. It'd be a nice twist and a good one to extend the series's romance parts.

But mostly i believe that the show should basically just continue where it left off. It shouldnt really have a huge triumphant return, only for the crew to come back to TV and continie doing what they do best...Deliver packages, have sex with aliens, and enjoy the 31st century...

well that would be cool act as if it never finished in the first place and at the beging of new epsode leela kisses fry and they go back to normal

I would definitely have Fry and Leela together, but I would kind of shove the whole thing to the back burner, maybe have at most one or two episodes where their relationship is at the forefront.

I would hope they don't get together if the series was re-newed. They should take it back to where they left off before TDHaIP and make the Leela/Fry thing a bit more subtle.
