I believe it was Jon Dimaggio who said his mother called herself "futurama mamma". I do love Tress though, doesn't she have the best laugh?

Tress MacNeille has always made me laugh. She's in a lot of my favorite cartoons and has great range. Babs Bunny is one of my favorite running characters, and Linda's knowing laugh after Morbo makes anti human remarks tickles me to no end.

Yeah, tress is the best[/John Dimaggio]

But I'd also mention Susie Dietter, she'd made for some great moments on the commentaries. And apparently she directed some episodes as well.

Plus ofcourse the lovely Katey Sagal.

Yeah, I love Katey. That was pretty great when they ripped off of Married with Children on "Biclops Built for Two". If Futurama came back, then they might could rip off of Eight Simple Rules for my Female Daughter.

And she mentions her mother every time Wernstrum is on the screen. I think she's great on the commentaries.  :)

I know this is a little off-topic, but who is Hattie McDoogal? I feel so ashamed that I don't know. Please enlighten?

Hattie is that strange old woman with the eye problem, that keeps popping up in places as a "generic character".

Her favorite words are watchamacallit and kajigger, and she owned PE stock in "Futurestock" and the apartment building in "I, Roommate"

Yeah the smelly and ugly old lady with the cat is hilarious, and Tress MacNeille has done some of the best charaters.  Then again  all the voice actors for the show are great.

Personally, I think all of Tress MacNeille's voices sound too similar. My favorite VA is Billy West, but Maurice Lamarche deserves mention too.

Tress' DVD commetary is nothing short of adorable, what with the reciting of her favorite lines. She's really such a pro at this voice stuff.

I think the list speaks for itself.  120 characters, give or take a few, on one show has to be some sort of record.

I think Tress is overrated myself. She only seems to do about three or four voices in total, as opposed to Billy West and Maurice LaMarche who do many. I still like her though.

Correction, she does basically every secondary/one shot female character's voice... and most of the children. Nothing to sneer at.

Tress is an excellent voice actress, but I get CrazyDoc's point that the voices can be a bit samey sometimes.

However, Susie Dieter rules the roost as far as I'm concerned.

I was thinking the same thing. She and John Dimaggio both tend to use the same three or four voices for all the characters. Billy West is my hero as far as voices, as well as Dave Herman. While I am a fan of Maurice, those two guys just blew me out of the water sometimes, I couldn't tell who was doing what voice.

My friends tell me I should voice act...

Whoring.

Boring.

I like how her normal voice has that "just got up in the morning" quality. It's very casual sounding. I like it.

On the commentaries, she sounds just like the characters she voices, with maybe a slight difference. I don't think she's changing her voice that much, especially compared to voices like Zoidberg and Morbo. However, I do like her natural voice.

The cool thing is (if you're not actually looking for Tress' voice) that you don't really recognize that it was the same voice as you saw earlier in that episode. She has that multi-voice quality. She can be the same and different at the same time. You know what I mean?

My favorite has gotta be Bily West, voicing Fry, thr Professor and Zoidberg, I couldn't tell until I listen to the commentaries. I also like John Dimaggio simply because he voices my favorite character. Bender Rules!!!  :D

Billy rules. I wouldn't have known he did both Fry and the Prof without the use of a list, but after listening to their voices for a while I can start to hear a very slight similarity that comes and goes. Anyone else found this?

Listen to Zoidberg say "Oooh, that box!" in 'Farnsworth Parabox'. It sounds very similar to how Farnsworth would say it.
