I'd find a way of working a Frank Sinatra song in there. I don't care how much work it takes, I'll get it in. Maybe "I Get A Kick Out Of You" for a shippy montage.

I do believe though that they have already done a very good job at selecting what songs were to be used on the show with Simple minds being well chosen especially by just using the chorus for the end sequence in TLOTF as I'm not to fond of the rest of the song which I find is also irrelevent to the sequence it was picked out for. (plus they couldnt fit the rest of the song in)Edit - John Lennons "Imagine" could've worked well but I'm not to sure yet as to where in the show it might have worked.

I don't think that any music that is popular today would fit anywhere in Futurama. I prefer instrumental music, but some older music could fit in it.

The "Don't You Forget About Me" scene saved the episode for me, wrapping up all of the emotion from the last few minutes and making me appreciate the characters of Fry, Yancy and Fry jr. I really didn't like any of them until that episode. [No, never really liked Fry as a character until then, just a gag!] The music picks are never trendy. The scene comes first and then a song can be found, I think.

PS.. If you used the Russian version of "All the things she Said" and remixed it, It would work.

It might sound a bit wussy, but i would have loved to have seen that weird Ukulele version of Somewhere over the Rainbow performed by Isreal Kamamawiwo'ole (yes that really is his name) at the end of the series. Everytime i hear it on the radio i think of the Fry/Leela love story
